Tons of it at local CT.

1000x M.22 $52.99
500x Dynapoint GT Black Box $31.49

Good enough price to buy? Never used it before anyone know how it runs in an SR22 rifle? Just bought 500 mini mag cprn so don't know if I want to spend more ATM.

Don't see it on winchester site, must be discontinued or something.

I'm aware of the recall.

The M22 ran 2 different semi auto rifles of mine flawlessly, plus a semi-auto pistol. It was very consistent. The dynapoint , on the other hand, was dud, after dud. Probably 10 duds per 50

The M22 runs great in my crappy 715t. Haven't really had many duds with them either. I would say its worth it to just grab 1 or 2k rounds of the stuff. Especially if you have crappy tire money kicking around.

Good to hear about the m22 because I have a 715t as well.

Try it out.
If your gun likes it buy it up.

Was getting the DynaPoints at Walmart for $18 a brick just a few years ago,
My CZ 452 likes them so I still stock up even at $31 when I see it at CTC.

I'm a fan of the M-22, as well. Functions perfectly in anything I feed it to, and it's just as accurate as any other bulk 22 I've fired. $53 is a decent price for a case - I'd say go for it.

I gotta find some M22 and give it a whirl...

Dynapoints ( 40gr HP ) , by far , is the most I've used in all my 22's - semi and bolt - well over 10,000rds with very , very few duds and consistant accuracy...my go-to ammo for hunting as well.
I don't recognize the Dynapoint 'GT' in a black box but there is also Dynapoint 'Target" in a black box which I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.
Winchester has some downright crappy .22 ammo out there , but their Dynapoints have never let me down - I've been using them since they were first introduced..

Yep M22 is great stuff and $53 is a good price. My Ruger 10/22 takedown, Ruger 22/45 Mk II and Nork M93 all like it very very few failures, can't say that about bulk 525 boxes of Federal.

Izzit

M22 isn't very good at all. It sticks in hot chambers; happened 10 times to me in two different guns, had to push the round out with a rod. I stay away from anything written Winchester on it. The two bulk ammunition brands that I've had great luck with are Remington Golden Bullets and Federal Bulk.

Just cause your gun doesnt like it doesnt mean its bad. Look at how many bad reviews your golden remingduds have, yet you like them. 22s are picky and even the same model gun might not like the same ammo.
When you find something your gun likes, buy as much as you can!

I've gone through about 3,000 rounds of m22 and it does feed well in most semis I've used (IME). It seems to shoot about 2 MOA In my semis and around 1 1/2 MOA or a bit better in my bolt action. Some boxes have more FTF than others but for the price I don't mind. Just sharing my experiences.

Winchester M22 has oodles of bad reviews and several recalls to back them up. Buy that garbage at your own peril. I had doubts about the bad press before I bought 2 bricks of that ungodly excrement just to see it for myself. My pistol and my rifle (AR15 this is ''specifically'' designed to be used in) cycled them fine but that POS brass would stay stuck in the chambers when the guns got hot. Must have something to do with the tactical coating they slap onto them. Immediately after using a rod to poke the brass out, I loaded golden bullets, federal bulk, and minimags and they didn't stick in the hot chambers. The M22 is nothing but re-branded Winchester Super X. Same sh!t, different pile. They probably sell the Winchester Super X in red plastic 100 round packs to fool people into believing they are akin to Minimags.

I prefer the dyanpoints in my SR-22 but the M-22 is my secnd choice. It seems as I put more rounds thru it it seems to be getting a little more "tolerant" of various ammo. Today I ran M-22, some Federal, some Win Wildcats and some Rem golden bullet thru my SR-22. The only problem load was the federal, prolly just not hot enuf to work the action. Prolly got about 5K rounds thru it and tings do seem to be getting a little more "forgiving". I've got a good supply of Dyanpoints, but any time I see them I buy up whatever is in stock.

I tried a box of the dynapoints. For me I had a few ftf's. Some fired when struck on a different part of the rim. Some didn't. I took one apart that wouldn't fire and it didn't have any primer in it. Overall they were OK. Not too dirty. Good enough for plinking around. I wasn't using an sr22 rifle, browning and cz ate that box.

not speaking to the recall but.. I just went through 8,000 +/- of m22 through a 10/22 in the last month and here are my 2 cents. i will agree that occasionally they can stick but i don't think its a hot chamber issue, i just think the occasional round has either residue or coating that grimes it up and jams it in there. It can be several of these rounds to a single brick and then none in several bricks following, I would therefore say its more likely an issue of manufacturer quality control and not catching poor runs in the production process... or not caring.

i love the m22 stuff as it works great in my gsg 1911, got around 14k of it. i have the odd issue with it, but for price i could care less. i don't expect it to perform 100% like high end 22's and people who do are delusional.

Haven't bought any Dynapoints or M22 yet so can't speak to those, but I did buy a bunch of Super-X years ago and ended up being disappointed.

My experience with the Super-X was that it was excessively lubricated with wax on the bullets themselves. As it's been mentioned, I found that after my Buck Mark heated up a bit that they would FTF and you had the odd dud once in a while. I found that waxy lube gummed up my mags pretty quickly and far worse than any other bullet so I stopped using any Winchester .22 ammo in my autos. They work fine in my 452 and my wife's single-shot Rem which they've been relegated to, however.

Not sure if the Dynapoints or M22s suffer from the same excessive lube, but that's my 2c for ya regarding Winchester rimfire ammo, FWIW...
