Winchester mod12

Sweet! Post some pics up of that thing when you get it on there.
Mine is at 20" with open cylinder. Cut, flushed up and I drilled and tapped it for a brass bead sight myself.
Just bad ass. Too much fun to blow up pumpkins and jugs of tap water etc
I only keep one firearm in the bedroom for defense and it's the model 12 with heavy game load 2-3/4" shells.
Stored legally of course! But readily accessible.

Here is the 1918 made all original one I rebuilt/refinished (purists take note it was literally shot; broken parts, no finish, considerable surface rust, rear stock was split down the length etc):

Wow, not too shabby for a 100 year old gun!

A lot of work. Cheap/not much cost aside from the parts.
But stripping the steel and engine block heat cure job was long and painful.
Same with the stock stripping/repair/finish.

There is something awesome about getting a 100 year old shotgun running like brand new again and giving it a second chance at a long life of hard use

I guess it does work.

Edit a post, click on attach image, then 'camera'. Take the photo, then click on the 'upload' button in the browser. Should work
Don’t know how you did it, was that an iPhone? On mine I hit the picture thing, I brings up insert pictures but gives a url address line to fill in, no camera option. But I don’t pretend to be an I.T guy at all.... lol

I have pre 64 model 12's in 12,16, and 20 gauge along with a pre war pigeon grade in 95-98% condition. Some of the best shotguns ever made! There's no way I could ever sell mine.

Yeah, If for whatever reason I had to get rid of all my guns except one, I'd keep the M12.

If you have a gap between the chamber ring and the chamber you will have sticky extraction especially with the new style steel headed shot shells. (actually they have been around for a long time now)
