Winchester model 21 heavy duck value

Your absolute best bet is importing one. They are prized and scarce here in Canada so you’re unlikely to find one, let alone one that fits your criteria. The selection in the states or in England is not even comparable to what we have here, unfortunately. Yes, you will pay a premium in the US, though you will most likely find what you want. I am not saying you can’t find something here in country, but expect a very thorough hunt.

The Winchester Model 21 was Winchester Proofed at 150% of maximum load and is a very robust shotgun that is dearly loved by many. As such they are pricey.

The M21 Duck Gun was not originally stamped as such until around 1939 or 1940. Before that Winchester just offered 3" chambers with a shorter stock with the solid red pad. The underside of the barrels were stamped 3" and the stock was 13 1/2" including the pad and the pistol grip had a closer radius bringing your finger closer to the trigger. Winchester built the 3" guns on the standard frame.

Here's a photo of a mid 1930's Duck Gun I sold a couple of years back. I found the stock too short for me and as such never used it. I still have my 1936-37 Field gun. Here's a few photos of both.

There was one on EE a couple of years ago that was in pretty rough shape with an asking price around 5K.....a bit high for that condition IMHO since I own a 21. Any M21 in "excellent" condition will cost you on the high side of $6K CDN .
