Winchester Primer Problems

Maybe Win primers and Nosler brass are bad combos?

It's beginning to look that way isn't it?

I had 2 out of that batch of 50 fail. I deprimed the first, inspected, and discovered the hole in the primer. So I inspected the rest of my cases before priming them thinking that maybe a unsupported point in the primer cup would have caused the failure, but none were found. Then I had the failure that is pictured, causing the damage shown.

I'm really not liking this. I've used WLR primers for years, but only recently have I tried the Nosler brass. Im think I'll be going back to the FC brass and consider it a lesson learned.

My personal experience with Nosler brass has not been encouraging.
I have found it tends to be "soft" and primer pockets loosen up easily.
I am still using Winchester, when I cannot get Lapua in the chambering.
Eagleye.
