Anyone got a line on where to pick some of this up? Once again my local gun shops say they only see it "once in a while" and it takes too long and not worth their time to bring this stuff in! Anyone know where to pick some up?
Thanks

ouch

40$ a box! wow i didn't think we were talking .44 mag prices! lol

i just got a PM saying P+D enterprises has some at the link at the top of the page haven't checked it out yet though!

I bought a couple boxes from site sponsor Target sports in March 2009.

I got two of the last 4 boxes they had in stock @ $45.00/50 rounds.

They said it was a one time shipment they got in of 5000 (don't know if that meant 5000 BOXES or 5000 total rounds which would be 100 boxes). It sold out in a matter of a few days.

Like another poster said, your best bet may be the EE here.

frontier has a sale on it right now...

2 boxes of ranger 9mm, and 2 boxes of silver tips in the EE right now. 200$

DAMN!

Looks like I hit the jackpot when I bought 5 boxes of silver tips off a fellow CGN member last summer for $100.00.

Yup. $20.00 per box.

Haven't shot any of it yet though. Until I can find a steady supply, none of my HP's are going down range.

Its the shipping that costs mostly when you have to ship threw a approved carrier.
Frontier has the FMJ for 240.00 a case of 500:eek:I just bought some off a local dealer for 130.00 a case.;)

what we really want is "BLACK TALONS" but they have been discontinued for a while now as far as i was told

There is an old line that the SXT in the Ranger SXT stands for "Same eXact Thing" as the Black Talon.

Keep in mind that an original box of the Black Talons will probably run you $50 for 20 rounds in 9mm.

Winchester SXTs are the same as the Black Talons.Just under a differant name.

May be the same name. The bullet however has had some serious tweeks to it since, it is now a medium penetrating load instead of the excessive penetration of the earlier BT loads. The jacket has been redesigned to open up quicker, resulting in greater overall recovered diameters and slightly less penenetration in ordnanace gel.

The new Ranger loads with T in the code name denote the updated bullets. I believe the bullets were tweeked at least a couple of times, once in 1998 and again in the early 2000's.
