Most muzzle brakes are "monolithic" meaning a CNC machine carves the entire brake out of a single solid bar of steel or titanium. This limits the internal port geometry to angles that a drill bit or milling cutter can physically reach from the outside.The Without Warning manufacturing method is complex. The CHAD brake is constructed from six individually machined pieces that are laser-welded together into a single assembly. What is the benefit? By machining each baffle or port separately before welding, they can create complex internal gas-flow geometries that are physically impossible to mill on a single piece of metal. This maximizes gas diversion to reduce recoil while pushing the concussion blast upward and away from the shooter's face. Keep in mind that, to this day, there is zero data testing to confirm if this complex manufacturing process has any substantial difference from a standard CNC machined muzzlebrake. MDT also tested that the first port on a muzzlebrake is doing the majority of the work and each port added after is significant diminishing returns so it would be interesting to see some actual hard data that shows just how much recoil reduction there is from the CHAD brake over something else.
