WK-180C piece of junk

Well my buddy's 2800.00 ACR had it's bolt explode, so don't think spending 3k gets you a problem free gun.... He was not happy waiting on US support.

The problem isn't that the gun is 1K instead of 3K, the problem is that we're banned from using the most proven and reliable rifle designs in the world so now we have to make do with unproven prototypes. Nobody would ever imagine these problems on an AR, AK, FAL, G3 or what have you. You could take any of those weapons and roll around in the sand and mud between magdumping 5,000 rounds and the guns wouldn't care. It's not because an ACR is 3K that it's reliable, nobody in the US cared about them much because they have the AR which is a proven and reliable half-century old design.
We are coping.

At least the product support is there and the parts are readily available for the most part. Good luck trying to get a warranty replacement through another importer that is based in Ontario.

I had problems with Kodiak warranty support but they finally came through after 5 months
They lost my rifle and avoided me like the plaque as they didn’t want to own up to it
They did finally find it and fixed it and sent it back though
I find the barrel quality to be poor on these
Don’t look through one with a borescope it might scare you !

Its mediocre you get what you pay for the one i had was ok not bad not great it didn't break it was a whole lotta meh whatever

"You get what you pay for" isn't right here, it's only applicable when you actually have the choice to buy a good rifle for a higher price. There are plenty of very reliable very well made rifles that turn around $1500-2000 CAD, but they're all banned. And no, i'm sorry, a 4-5K and up rifle is just so outrageously overpriced that you can't even put it in the equation. At that point the quality-price factor is completely out of the window. You'll find $1000 AR-15's that are much more reliable than some $4,500 special snowflake germanic wunderwaffe, you're simply paying for the brand.

I'm sure it's been said here before, but this thing is a piece of junk. Magazines sit too low. Feed angle is all wrong. Even the steel parts are as soft as aluminum. Charging handle broke off first range trip. Firing pin retainer broke on the second range trip.

You shouldn't have to charge your rifle and wonder if the round is actually going to make it all the way into battery.

Save yourself the time, money and dicking around. You can get an SKS and 3000 rounds of surplus ammo for the price of one of these.

Cool concept but a piece of junk.

This can all be fixed with an election. Maybe its a good thing the guns are banned at this time. Otherwise price gougers would be out of control.

guys like to compare the sks, which while great and cheap, they were made 70 years ago by communist slave labour.

Comparing that to a rifle made in Canada in 2020 isn’t a really fair comparison.

Despite some growing pains I think the Wk180c is a good gun at its price point, we don’t have many <1500 dollar options.

Can't comment on quality or functionality, but it sure is fugly....That slopey forward lower is hard on the eye!. Designed by a committee?. I use the same rule as most Aircraft designers, if it looks right, it is right........

I thought the same thing. Honestly, I thought it was hideous! It really grew on me and now it's a thing of beauty in my eyes. The Made in Canada is really something to be proud of.

I went out shooting today. It was superb. Function was flawless and I was the weak link in the accuracy equation.

I ordered a brass deflector. The cases do leave marks on receiver.

The ol' WK180c is my fav gun right now.

Watched a buddy's WK break it's charging handle off today. One minute it was there, next it was gone. Magic.

Do you know how long ago he got his WK? I wonder whether the first batch that came out a couple of years ago were more prone to the charging handle issues. I have heard they may have improved the handle in shipments from the past year.

Don't know when it was made. I'm sure they did the threaded handle because it was cheaper than doing it right, but if your materials are not correct, it's just going to fatigue and break off like his did.

The threaded handle is not ideal. It wiggles lose too. I was thinking of putting some blue loctite it.
