I personally think WK308A is fine. It has all the useful information:

WK - Wolverine/Kodiak-partnership semi-automatic rifle platform
308 - base calibre
A - first generation (could be replaced with Mk.I, as well)

Maybe rebrand the WK180C as WK223A or WK556A

You could also append animal 'nicknames' to them: WK308A "Swamp-Donkey", WK556A "Bobcat".


To be honest, I thought the C in WK180C was to signify an improvement on the AR180B; not as an acronym for "Canadian." I would think that 'WK' should be enough to identify it as a Canadian-brand rifle

I believe to be accurate for its intended purpose, given it is a new design and not directly based on the AR-180b like the 180c was, call it by the calibre size the receiver is going to be capable of supporting.
