Just starting a new thread so I don't clog up Wolverine's ETA thread.

I'm going to handload and see what kind of accuracy I can get with it, I bought new brass so I don't use beat up stuff. Also I'm going to try some factory rounds.

First impressions are;

-It feels great, I like the handguard and wouldn't change it.
-Trigger is a little on the heavy side with some grittiness
-It feels light (weighs 7lbs .8 ounces w/o optic and mag) most of the weight is probably in the receiver that's why
-A little play in the receivers (doesn't bother me but it might some people)
-The bolt didn't lock back on the factory mag (John said they had problems with pinning them. My Pmag worked fine, I'm going to try a couple different mags) They are sending out a couple mags next week IIRC

Right now, I'm very happy with it.



Just took photos of the bolt to see how it wears.

Ok, so what I have gathered is it seems to like 60 gr bullets. It doesn't like the Hornady Match 68gr, the bullets got caught on the feed ramps 4-5 times in 9 rounds.
The average of groupings are in the 1.5 MOA range.

Your first mod should be a trigger, I call it a 4 stage trigger. It was like this every shot.:bangHead: I'm sure I could do better groupings with a nice single stage.

Correct and with a breeze. That was my 3rd load.

23.5 gr varget
70gr Barnes TSX
CCI primer
Hornady brass
2.250” COAL

My 4th load looked the same, the wind started picking up quite a bit so I stopped.

Lol My bad! I for some reason read 7lb 8oz and immediately flew off the handle like an sjw if you assumed their gender.

.8oz I can live with. :d

Giving bogus weights is pretty much the norm these days, so I was skeptical from the get-go. My apologies.

Also the .8 could be the chamber flag too. I can’t remember if I removed it.

Thanks for the review, looks promising.

Could you tell me what the approx distance from end of barrel threading to the front of the handguard?
Plus what is the OD of the barrel?

I'm thinking of making a faux suppressor on my lathe......

Sweet! Is it possible for you to weigh the bolt assembly? I want to deduce the weight of the receiver set by itself so I can pencil up a lightweight Recce build I'm doing of doing for this rifle.
Very pleased about the weight, that's very acceptable. My educated guess is 70 oz with the barrel assembly but without trigger unit or pistol grip, and 35 oz with the BCG and assorted receivers parts that you can't really swap out.

Perfect. I won’t need 5 shots for shooting coyotes. I am going to try the 60 gr Nosler custom and see how they shoot. I sure hope mine comes soon.
