On the first pic the head and snout look like a typical wolf.
Wolf.
Check out Voyaguerswolfproject on Instagram.
They are biologist that are keeping track of wolves tmin Minnasota. Look alot like the ones in your pic. They track wolves across the border into Canada too.
Its amazing the stuff they find, They say most of the wolf kills are Beaver, More than moose and deer
^---Coyote. I originally thought the OPs pic was an young wolf but now I'm pretty sure its a coyote as well.

Ola folks. Since we are on topic and I won't need to start my own thread, I captured this pic on my father in-laws property last year and always assumed it was coyote. Correct?

over last couple of years I've noticed apparent change in the appearance of the coyotes I've encountered within GTA area (west). While few years back they would appear proper coyote like, last winter and spring they seem to be breading pups (first year?) that have heavier necks and stockier look all around (alike to the first picture of this thread). Don't know what to make of it. Could it be just a difference of build during different time of the year? Food availability?
