I'd like to replace the plastic with wood furniture. Saw a nice pic of an old port AR-10 with wood furniture, and after that I always wanted to get an Ar-15 outfitted in it.

I seen a beautiful ATS AR15 with a full grey wood stock at a Hungry clinic I went to. It was gorgeous but the heaviest tank of an AR15 I've ever held. The guy running it was a good size but his arms where about to fall off after the two day clinic.

Seems like a good winter project to make a few pieces of wood furniture for black rifles.

Personally I like the idea somewhat of blending modern firearm designs with the clasic wood look. The new Keltec RDB M43 variant really showcases it well. It looks like a soviet era com-block bullpup prototype.
