Wood in my shotgun

My maverick came out of the box with one and I was in the same damn situation as you.

For future reference (if somehow this is found via the search function), to remove it you must:
1) Ensure the gun is unloaded, then do it again
2) Remove barrel
3) Hold gun, minus barrel, and shake it living s**t out of it
4) You will see the end of the dowel poking through the hole that the barrel screws into, pull it out

Thank you SLICKNICK I am glad I am not the only one that went through this.

I dont feel the least bit bad for asking a question to something I did not know. Yes maybe further research would have been prudent but stupid me for thinking someone might want to give me a quick answer. Even if you dont want to admit it there was a time when everyone on here's knowledge on firearms etc was ZERO and I am sure you all asked questions that others laughed at but, there was still someone that helped you out and kept you going and learning more so you didnt walk away and give up. Ever think this could be part of the problem with the sport not growing or standing together as one??? I think it does. I have been on alot of forums for cars and other things and this forum by far has the MOST egotistical smart ass's that seem to delight in slamming newbies like me rather then helping or just Shutting the F### up. I can only imagine that they do this to try and compinsate for something lacking in there life. Thank god the majority of people on here are helpful decent folks.

Lots of good points in this post. For those who state he should have done research just what do you think the original post was trying to do?
Nice to see a little piss and vinegar in the above response. You are well on your way to getting over "newbie" status.

I'll stated it again... Just a razz, nothing personal. Not trying to chase anyone away or flame anyone. Sorry I offended your sensabilities. Gheese!!!
