Woolly Mammoth

I'm a bit fuzzy on Mastadon physiology. Are their brains the same size as a elephants?

I'm thinking that with all of that hair, they might need a bit larger gun than a .375. And aren't they quite a bit larger than African elephants? 1 1/2 times the size comes to mind.

(and yes, I remember the North Of 60 episode where the character goes out and brings home 10 000 year old winterkill meat from a dead wooly mammoth)

I think if they genetically engineered a really hairy elephant, that would be cheaper and nearly as good. Maybe a Klingon forehead thing.
But it wouldn't be a prehistoric monster, it would just be an elephant, just leave it alone and you'll be fine.
I say go Velociraptor or go home. Nobody is anti-gun when those guys are within 100 miles of their location. And they taste like chicken.
(And the answer is Automat Kalashnikova).

What if it died from a disease that can wipe out our cattle industry. Ya bring it back and see what happens.
Working on this instead of a cure for cancer. But, Cures for cancer are bought up and shelved because it is a very big business. Research that boasts they are near finding a cure are never heard from twice.

Another reason why the cure for cancer has not been released, besides the big business aspect and the amount of highly specialized unemployment a cure would create, is the fact we live on a planet with a healthy maximum carrying capacity of 4 billion humans............of which we now exceed 7 billion..........HHHHMMMMM
Bring on the Wooly Mammoths and we really should work on some smilidons, short faced bears, velociraptors and T-rexs, just to get things back on an even keel...........We hunters won't have too much to worry about but the "grazers" and "granola munchers" will be in deep sh!t.

I swear to God, if this turns into another idiotic mammoth-defense thread, or a discussion about shooting smilodons in space....

...oh, who am I kidding? I'll continue to read it! :)

Where is the "like" button when we need it !!!
