World Record Moose -- Amazing Video

I don't believe Moose know where the borders lie.

You're absolutely correct, they don't, I was just referring to what is generally believed to be the ranges and how they are classified.
There is a reason all record books show the largest "Canada moose" as coming from northern BC, though the ones in Alaska and the western Yukon are a bit larger still from my research.

Regardless, when one compares this video to the one about the moose shot at 1200 yards, it's obvious which takes the greater hunting skill and this one is far more exciting and enjoyable to watch.

Just saw the finish video. Real is a great hunter... he was actually speaking the language of love to the big ol moose, and with the bull responding, by turning his head to show his antler size tells me he was really communicating with the bull lol.

That is unbelievable to think the moose would even come that close with 1 hunter, and 2 cameramen their. Wouldn't the moose have smelled the guys and took off, or at a minimum got spooked with the look of paranoia on his face?

I guess you can't blame the guy for being a little off with his shot, as he did seem pretty shaken up after he let the bow go. Who wouldn't be though...

I have that DVD. "The Rackman in the Yukon Seven". Real Langlois lives and guides in the Yukon.Moose scored 249 Pope&Young which is apparently the world record according. English voice over which isnt to bad as the camera work is excellent and the scenes are incredible.runs 1h40m. This is one skilled hunter IMHO.

the moose here are not the same as in the east ... they re not scared of human being because they dont know what we re ... most of the time of course ...

im pretty sure the smell of feces and urine emitting from my pant leg cuffs would have scared it off about 20 feet before the shot. In fact it may be able to see the odour rising as a big brown wall of fecal particulate. Kinda like a brown smoke bomb.

Ive never seen an arrow completely true at that range either, always a little pitch or yaw which would retard some penetration but maybe ive just never seen anyone get their bow perfectly tuned. I cant seem to do it.

Great Video!!!, I called a bull out to me last year....it came out close to me but not like that one was....Well done boys !!
