Worst rifle you ever bought?

a used tikka t3 lite in 223... Patterned like a shot gun with all ammo. Thankfully the store had a 30 day return policy on used fire arms.

Im assuming the first owned tortured it!

If it's the worst rifle I've ever actually hunted with it would have to be the Lee Enfields I was forced to use as a teen and broke adult. As far as the worst I've ever owned, that has to go to the Norinco M334 I did a detailed review on. It was horribly made but probably would have been more reliable than the Lee Enfields.

I bought a used rifle @ a dealer . It was an old gun with the usual crusty metal finish , which I
started to clean with an oily rag . As soon as I started to wipe it a black liquid came off leaving a surface of polished metal .
It was ,,, "Stove Polish" . First time I have seen that. I cleaned it to do a cold blue of all the barrel / action.
It turned out great looking . Still happy to get a rare Cooey .
It was a 1928 Canuck .410 . It is a typical Canuck with a one piece receiver / .410 barrel . ,,,,,,,,,,,,, IF.

Got quite few crappy rifle and shotgun. Ruger 10/22 grouping is worse than shot from a buckshot shotgun. So got CZ 527 American 17 HMR with 2 stage trigger.Awesome accuracy. My Remington 1100 3" mag. shotgun it is jam o ram rod had gunsmith work on couple times. Work fine for first 100 rounds and with regular cleaning still jams. Sold that piece crap 20 years ago. Got a Remington 3 "Wingmaster 870 flawless. Also got Crossman Airgun pump action I think it is model 760 in 177cal.. It pump action. Could not hit Empty Campbell soup can at 10 yards. So the pesty house sparrow were safe.

I once owned a Remington 710 in a group sale.
I never shot said gun so I cannot speak to its accuracy, but it was the cheapest made thing I ever owned. The o my thing that compares is a Remington viper 22.
I went to clean the viper, saw the infernal plastic and shuttled it along at a loss.

I made few rules for my guns, one being nothing modwrn remington is allowed.

Remmmington 700 bdl in 270 nothing really wrong with it I just never learned to like that gun so a complete waste of money

It is encouraging to me what missed the list. My Handi models did not get a vote. They are no jewels and like most economy builds have both a need for tinkering and a learning curve. Still 20 pages and no mention says something.

My worst was a Cooey 22 with the pressed rabbit checkering and tube magazine. It was on the farm many years ago. It never failed to function but the stock design sucked and the stock split. The plastic trigger guard died quick. I like older wood and steel used guns and have never had a gun not function as designed. Any gun that doesn't function as designed is not a gun but junk regardless of makers mark or cost.

I don't think I'll ever buy a newish gun used ever again after reading this thread. A lot of lemons go through the exchange and after years of reading it full lemon disclosure is very rare indeed. In fact MOA reports are very common. Far more common than MOA rifles I suspect.

Mine was a Weathery Vanguard Sub-MOA in 22-250. Nothing wrong with the rifle, I just couldn't get to like how it fit me or felt in my hands. Ended up putting together a different 22-250 that I really love.

Worst rifle handled great, fed anything you put in it, but patterned like Buck-Shot; 1980's Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle in Stainless. You had to have 30 shot bannana clips so when you were fox or coyote hunting you could spray them with bullets until you actually hit them. Shot equally s***** with all ammo tried; commercial and home loads; light and heavy.

I still like the looks and the feel, but never will I ever buy or recommend one to anyone.

I've owned a couple Norcs. An AR-15, two M305s, a 1911 and a Sig copy.

All were a little rough around the edges, but all were serviceable and reliable. For the cost they were good firearms.

I had a bit of a rough start with JW15s, but have a great one now; I love my 1911 and my NZ85B.
