Would you buy a shotgun from someone who spells gauge guage?

I keep seeing EE posts where people are listing their shotgun as such and such a "guage". I am always wary of this - as I think that if someone doesn't know how to spell gauge, they may be some kind of gun scammers. Is that just me?
You must be wary of a large percentage of the advertisers on EE then. My personal ‘hate’ is the use of the word shotty.!!! Not everyone is proficient at spelling.

YES! Makez me up-chuck a little. Shake my head at ad & would not buy lol

or No Pic is kinda disappointing in this day & age as well. I usually skip over those ads if Im in a 'buying' mood.

Or a link to the used item from it's current manufacturers website.

"it's looks just like this one"

Ummmmmmmmm, no, because it isn't that one.

Wouldn’t be the first time spellcheck failed me. I go so fast on the iPad, letters get reversed and spellcheck fails to fix automatically

Apparently, putting Links/hyperlinks in your EE ads is a no no, but many do, or a link to the Most expensive retailers link for the same item, often outdated. lol. Mehh, I think I have been guilty of this one lol. but more-so in a PM not the EE ad.

I'd sooner buy from a guy that can't spell gauge than one who refers to the item as a shotty.

Ya, the spelling I can overlook, using the 'word' shotty..not so much!

How about when they say "surplus to my needs?" I think that's equally suspicious. If it wasn't surplus to your needs, then you still NEED it. And if you need something you won't be selling it.

Deep thoughts about the EE

Suspicious, indeed. Seems they are really just "thinning the heard". (sic)

My issue is not a spelling issue but a dig at sellers that post a picture of five or six very similar firearms but only one of them is for sale, you have to figure out which one. Either the seller can't be bothered taking a pic of the single gun or he just wants to show off his expensive firearms to the rest of the peasants.
