Would you consider importing the Norinco JS 9mm SMG (Type 97 style SMG)?

Where are we at with this?

I just re-read this whole freakin thread it seems that the JS may be imported but only in the proprietary 5.8 round? I like the idea of it as long as the ammo is reasonable.

If it's in 5.8 it will probably be the carry handle version that gets imported. It seems the flat top is 9mm only??

Looking at the exploded diagram I posted the carry handle version shares the same front sight tower and optics mount as well as the same hand guard as the Type97 shorty.

Any news to report?
