I would have the local Conservation Officer find out who has been keeping a wild animal as a pet without a permit, and fine them accordingly.

I agree!! I enjoy to hunt & hunt to enjoy. If I now see fit to take it upon myself to become judge jury & proscutor, to cure what I perceive to be wrong doings, the enjoyment no longer exists.

I wonder what sort of sausages to make :)

I hunt for meat, buttons is made of meat, If I have a tag for antlered deer buttons meets my requirements.

Bye bye buttons hello sausage

and how much longer can this thread go

That sign would be peppered by shots if it was in our neck of the woods.

That would surely help hunters' image.

I haven't checked this thread for some time. It is interesting....

And we wonder why the public sentiment against hunting and shooting is on the increase.
Reminds me of when I was up home a few weeks ago. A road sign was shot up. First off , yes it looks bad for firearm owners, but it also attracts attention where its never welcome. I like to shoot on the property at home, and the damaged sign was close by.

Same idea, but a while back, my buddy & I were headed to a gun show in Kalispell Mo. Coming in from the SW we came to a 4-way stop in the Flathead Lake area. There were two signs, side by side. One, a target without a blemish. The second, what could barely be recognized as once having been a stop sign. As I recall, it was comical at the time, but in hind sight, not too smart. One of our biggest adversaries may be ourselves and our actions. :(

Only thing I would shoot as a spike would be a moose, I like deer to be 3 yo or better.
A spike to a two year old Bull Moose is my favorite, and I don't have a problem with a spike Deer either. It may be wrong for an individual to make a pet of a wild animal but shooting said wild animal that is obviously a pet isn't something I would knowingly do.

I would totally shoot buttons.

Its also a damn good thing those 'buttons' are camo. Because, you know, a deer that sticks out is a dead deer for predators.
