Wouldbe Robinson XCR review

It puzzles me why the contact parts for the sear, hammer and disconnector are left blued,...lots of crap to wear off. Some 1200grit lightly can smooth it out. Took me all of 5 minutes to make a noticeable difference.

I thought that the original was an ACE folder, am I wrong?
Yup, you are wrong. The US XCR's have a Robarm produced folder that is very, well, ####ty. Plastic washer use friction to hold the stock folded. There is a screw in the back that does nothing. We figure the idea is you back it out to take up the slop in the folder, but then you have a loose screw sticking out the back of your rifle?

Thanks for the info, just looking at the photos it had me almost convinced that it was an ACE.

That is too bad as I have an ACE on another rifle and I am very happy with it.

I was thinking that you guys could perhaps use the ACE folding mechanism for the XCR.

Due to the limited sales a folding mech would bring, it's not high priority. It is on the to-do list, how ever. I know at least one will be made for sure as one of the guys has an XCR.

Well, I will buy one off of you if they ever put the .308 into production.

The 7.62X39 uses the wrong mag - the C-product mag is too long and too curvy. It is gonna be funny how you can bang rack tap - seating the mag into the rifle gonna be interesting. Most 7.62 conversion sucks because the catridge case is designed differently and the AK feedinng system is also different from the AR. C-product should have done a 20 rounds mag to cut down the J-curve of the mag. With the recent QC reputation of C-product, I won't beta it myself.
