That's $7 billion of exports that pay Canadian salaries to sell Canadian-made chemicals, minerals, machinery, forestry products, and food crops to China. On the flipside, we also import $29 billion per year from China because we are consumers to the extreme. My point is that China is a critical trade partner, in both directions, for Canada. ref
