It's lasered on.

Upon a closer inspection, I think you're right... laser which cut right through the blue. A nice place for rust to start eventually. Thanks UN! You surely make a difference in de-valuating legit firearms (but that's pretty much all you do with this horsesh*t).

I'll try some cold blue on it and see if it helps. Besides, I don't think we (or anyone for that matter) should consider UN authority seriously. They're totally anti-democratic (we as the people have no say in their decisions) and that goes against our very principles.

:yingyang:

Edit: ok, just tried it... here's the result. Sorry about the poor pic quality, but my good camera is currently unavailable.

Before:

After reblue (you can see the kit next to the Tok). Markings still visible, but a LOT less:

Note: To do it properly, one would have to strip the blueing completely off the slide (or at least off a larger section of it) and reblue with a professionnal product. The blueing kit you see pictured is only good for minor touch-ups and tends to rub off with time (temp solution only). I know our friends down south have some very good stuff called 'oxphoblue' (or something similar) that yields a very professional result. I was looking for it all over the place years ago, but it turned out that it's not available up here.. as it's usually the case.

Got mine, decent pistols for the $$ spent. No real sharp edges, slide fit good, sights usable, grips really need to be different, finish is decent, definately not perfect, but again for 99$$, buy 2! I did. And my #### didn't fall off either!!

Range Report!

So, I finally got mine to the range. I discovered immediately that it does NOT like hollowpoints - every one jammed before chambering. Aside from that, I ran thirty or forty rounds of factory Fiocchi through it without a hiccup. I'm actually impressed with the accuracy - I was grouping better with it than with my G29.

The verdict - definitely worth the money :D

did you notice the flat tip catch on the feed ramp?

Arrg! Norinco! I just bought a CZ clone made by Norinco and the firing pin/spring just fell apart while shooting on my first 100 rounds!
And to think I ordered 1 Norc tok last weak! I should of tried the CZ Norc before ordering another one.
My opinion: VERY cheap guns dont last VERY long (100 rounds...common!).

What would be the fun of a $99 gun if you didn't need to fix it every 99 rounds :)

I sure had fun over the past few days with my M213. No, not at the range, yet,

I filed away the rough machining over critical parts or areas, reblued the bare metal thus exposed, got the mag well spacer out, removed the loop on the left side (I am a left handed shooter, so that loop would just imbed itself in the palm of my hand), tweaked the part of the trigger through which the mags slide (because they didn't slide very well...), etc, etc. Now, I just have to receive a spare grip from Canam, and I will be able to schedule going to the range. Can't wait to shoot along with my Tok TT-33... argh, waiting, painful, argh...

Made it to the range with my M-213 today, and was very impressed. I had pulled it apart the other night just to see what made it tick, and gave it a look over.

I got sidetracked, so basically didn't clean it with any solvent, just wiped off the lovely smelling oil, a dry patch through the bore, and that's all.

The weather was great today by Saskatchewan standards, so off to the range with the better half and some ammo. A box of AE 115grn ball, S&B something, and a box of 9mm reloads, 3.3 grain Titegroup, 124grn cast round nose, Fed small primer, c.o.l. 1.12-1.13ish.

I had no fail to fire, or fail to eject with factory ammo, although the girlfriend had 3 stovepipes, which most likely were caused by limp wristing.

On to the reloads, my first batch I've rolled of these for the 9mm. I was just below the start load listed by .2 grains, so I had my doubts they would all run smooth, as I was expecting failures.

Not a stoppage of any sort from the reloads, and they were mild to say the least.

So bottom line, very pleased with this pistol. The girlfriend wants one now! Its nothing fancy looking, and according to another poster, it should be broken by now.:rolleyes:Whatever.

With that, thanks CanAm for bringing these in.:)

OXPH-BLUE can be found at Wholesale Sports in the 118ml and 237ml. It does do a really good job. Birchwood Casey is another alternative. :)

I placed my order on Feb 2, feb 16 recieved my email confirming the order had been processed. Its now the 21st and I have not recieved a tracking number. What were you wait times to all the guys that recieved yours already? I don't want to bother them again over at CanAm im sure they're busy. But I'm anxiously waiting for my new toy. This will be my first restricted purchase even though Ive held my RPAL for 4 years already. A huge thanks to CanadaAmmo for this batch of pistols, the price, and the service your providing.

It might take a while for you to get it, I think CanAm is swamped. I called to see how my order was coming along last week, and I'm sure he mentioned another 300 or so, and 20-30 e-mails to get to. He also has put up a help wanted ad on the site, so I think he's running at full tilt. Don't worry, it'll be in your mitts soon enough.

my order was processed on the 1st, it shipped on the 10th, and I received it on the 11th..... the letter I got from the CFC said everything was submitted to them on the 5th and completed on the 6th.

So I dunno, I finally got it and its fun, so no point in my complaining now

I sure can... Still queued, I've been told it would be processed the following week twice now. Now, not even a response to email. Might be a good price, but if the people aren't in place to process the orders.. Very bad business model. And not replying to inquires? Well, I can see how badly they want my business in the future. It's a shame too - I was impressed with them initially. Once the "Queued" status hits the three MONTH mark, I'm canceling.
