Anyone using the Lever arms magazines? The ones that require the removal of the spacers?

I got 4 of them a while back and after a bit of lip tuning on the magazines I've got two to fire decently and two that just refuse to chamber a round without a fair bit of pulling on the slide to bump them up the ramp.

If so did you need to do anything special to get them to work?

Well, the safety went ping & flew off my 213. Seems to cycle OK still. Anyone else who's removed their safety know if there is any parts that could be floating around inside that I should be worried about?

there are no internal parts other than the lever on the side of the gun. If it was to break off I would guess some little bits of metal would fall straight to the ground

I bought 2 and first thing I did was to remove the safeties, one would not even go on or off and broke off as I tried to remove it. You're better off without them anyway.

+1 :agree:

That safety abomination is not part of the original design. It was an afterthought to appease the Americans before Clinton banned Norc's in the USA.

Rubber Grips

*UPDATE*

I wired the money today and was told it can take over a week to clear. I have decided to start with the rubber grips only at this time since shipping costs had an impact. Once this transaction is successful I will most likely be placing the order for the walnut grips soon after. Please be patient with me. When I have them in, email me your order and I will reply with an invoice and the method of payment. My bank does not allow EMT, I have found an alternative that is just as easy. I will only accept orders once I have them.

Cheers

re 99$ hand gun...yep its ugly... i figured what the hell i have spent more money going out for dinner before. i ordered one put a nice rubber finger molded grip on it and took it out for a test.i fired 250 rounds in one sitting right out of the box and not one jam..also has two safty..half #### and trigger

There's two "ears" that stick out and lock inside between the slots in the body to hold it into place. If the part that went "PING" does not have those ears on the shaft that goes through the hole then they are still inside. the good news is that they would fall to the bottom of the frame in the gap between the magazine spacer and the grip frame. The bad news is that if you turn it upside down or try to shoot gansta style they may fall or rattle up to where they can lock things up. If you field strip it and pull the trigger subassembly out as for cleaning and turn the frame upside down and smack it a couple of times the bits should fall out.

M213 Range Results

After sighting my '53 SKS this morning, the second objective was to see how the Norinco Toka would perform. Ammo were my reloads.

A - 7 YDS. Standing, two handed stance, rapid fire. 2 full mags each having a chambered round.

B - 25 YDS. Sitting, bench rested, 2 sec intervals.
#1 - 3 shots to sight
#2 - 1 full mag w/ chambered round

See what $99 gets us! A decent shooter. Was waiting for some demons to appear but so far, the Norinco's still in one piece. The Hogue HandAll
grip I installed was not perfect as it does have a tendency to slip off. Will have to get the real thing from ASIMONS. Happy shooting to all!!!!

You'd be needing the small Hogue Handall, designed ...................not easy to find the small ones in Canada.

Was looking to get that but my cousin in the US who sent me the Hogue Handall (regular size), was advised by the retailer, the JR. model provides less comfort as it has space for only 1 1/2 fingers. The regular has grip space for 3 fingers. Hogue does sell a retention system for all their Hand Grips. Unfortunately, was unavailable at the time he made the purchase. Nevertheless after seeing what Eastern Bloc rubber grips CGN'r ASIMON's is bringing in the next couple of weeks, this is what I would suggest for others to give serious consideration.
What most of us owner's all agree on - the original grips can do with any improvement.:canadaFlag::cheers::canadaFlag:

I slightly refinished my 213 using Super X-treme Bluing Remover, two feet of paper towel, and 15 minute of my time :)

I saw some guy at the range the other day with 3 Tokarevs. This little thing is pure junk. JUNK. It should never have been allowed in the country.

Sigh. "Ought not to be allowed!" Commies!

Is your junk evaluation based on problems the owner was experiencing? They respond very well to a little light sandpaper and some experimentation with handloads. Otherwise it's a pretty heavy duty piece of gear for $99 and a time-proven design to boot.

What the f**K do you want for 99 bucks?
People buy kias because they can't afford bentlys. It goes bang (most of the time);) and may help get a few newbies into the sport.

For a gun thats 99$ you are expecting way to much. The torks a the chevy cavalier of the firearms world. When it break you buy another one or buy two and rob parts from the other one. What were you expecting these to be a Cadillac. Your also not going to get a tac driver for that kind of money either, you should be happy that it hits a pire plate at 15 yards.
