Wow....$99 pistol....Norinco M213

The Tokarev pistol is gaining in interest. When the M213 was available and for $99 I did not buy one. I thought since I had four 7.62x25 which can be converted to 9mm anyway I didn't need one. However I would buy one now. Having shot one at the range, I have changed my mind. They are a pistol that one can have fun with and not worry about ruining it due to the cheap price.
I probably like my Soviet and Norinco Toks better than my other pistols simply because I don't worry about damaging them and I actually can appreciate them more than my more expensive pistols. I certainly shoot them better than any other pistol I have ever shot.
I would definitely buy one for $99 today.
As the net is extremely slow where I am, can someone give me the link to the thread regarding trying to convert a M213 to 7.62x25 please.

I thought all of the M-213's were a thing of the past, (unless buying used) as Canam is all sold out....... Unless of course Marster was able to aquire some.....

I dont think it is feasable to convert a 213 to fire 7.25x25 as the slide would need quite a lot of custom work to make it happen. Unless you already have a slide....... Then in theory (with a bit of fitting) it should just slide onto the frame of the 213.

Cheers!

There was some discussion on removing the magazine well spacer to permit the M213 to accept the more-available full-depth magazines. (The 9x19 magazines that have an internal spacer, rather than the 9x19 magazines that rely upon the magazine well spacer.)

I would guess that that is the "conversion" referred to.

I was under the impression that conversions from 7.62x25 to 9mm were possible, but going the other way was not feasible as the M-213 is a purpose built 9mm.

AFAIK once you swap out the mags/remove spacer, you'd need to swap the barrel bushing, then you still have a too small ejection port for 7.62x25. But the real problem is the position of the extractor. It sits further ahead ?? on the M-213 than on a Tokarev (to my understanding) and something here is where the problems come in.

I'm sure Andy and myself had discussed this.......about 1,500 posts back.:p

Yea - it's in here somewhere, a few hundred posts back or so.

Some have disagreed with what I said, but no-one has been able to show that they've done it.

*To Remove the rubber grip from the pistol, dip in hot water for 30 seconds and then slip it off.

right of the guys sites h ttp://grips.shawwebspace.ca/pages/view/mounting_tips/

I'm finally getting around to installing the grips. I think the grip mod instructions were originally found using the above link, but the link no longer works. Can someone tell me where to fine the instructions?

Thanks!

I just ordered a 201c and would like to know if there is any one who sells accessories for them? I saw a pic of a couple on the EE that had stretch on grips and a compensator on the end of the barrel. Wouldn't mind finding a compensator, made the gun look pretty cool.

There was a CGN member by the name of "Asimons" that had a line on grips and compensators. He sold out of what he had and that was the end of it. As for the grips I would prefer the grip on the 201c over any of them.

I got a hold of him and although he no longer carries the compinsatores he sent me in the right direction. On another not I just picked up a 201c and a Woodsman from Badger Arms and am impressed with the exceptional service that I got.

I've run about 1500 rds of 7.62mm through a 201C.
And yep it won't eject a loaded rd, but no problem with the empties.
The barrel bushing is the same as the barrels outside dimensions are the same. But the recoil impulse on a 7.62 rd knocks the sh*t out of the chinese made bushings. The chinese make OK larger parts but small high quality parts; not so much. Cheap as heck to go from 9mm to 7.62mm.
But I'd love to get some russian made barrel bushings.

Well I found one on a different forum.....the guy that has it quoted this about it.

I use a Bianchi Accumold ($30, Model 7506 - Size LRG Automatic, S&W 3904, 3906, 3913) belt-slide (with snaps) holster (with adjustable thumb-break) for my Norinco 213 and Radom Wz48.
The Bianchi holster grips the Tokarev frame snugly, while allowing for a perfect three-finger wrap around the grip when drawing, and the adjustable thumb-break offers decent retention, yet releases easily without slowing the draw.

I use this holster for carry of my Norinco daily. It conforms excellently to the contour of my waist, doesn't slide around on my belt (unless I do it on purpose) and holds the pistol at about a 10-degree FBI cant, which makes it perfect for wear just behind the hip on the strong-side.
And for this picture!!

Now i just have to find a supplier or order one off eBay.....is it legal to ship these across the border?
