WRAS 3-Gun, 2012 Shooting Schedule @ Spruce Grove

twisted my knee trying to "slide" under the last table on the pistol range, totally not worth it. Had a great time though. Have to practice for the steel match, I picked up a ton of Mikes on the pistol targets.

x100! That portion of the stage really ticked me off. I got so frustrated. I NEED GHOST RINGS!

Wow.. that came off a bit whiney... Other than that single portion of one stage, it was an incredible day. I had WAAAAY too much fun. I'm looking forward to the steel challenge, but more so to the next 3-Gun day.

I'm so very addicted. Need more pistol ammo now.

Pistol categorys include open, standard, production and some IDPA classes as well. In addition, there is rimfire where the competitor starts in a weaver ready rather than drawing from holster (great for new people)

Some clubs have started shooting rimfire rifles as well, not sure what WRAS thinks about it. I imagine if shooters want to do it, they will allow it.

Shotgun stages have always been side events, not part of the main match. Because of time and space, we have never done them at Spruce Grove.

Also, you can enter more than one gun if you like. Because this is only a one day match, you will only have time for two max.

Shooting the June 24th match also give you a chance to win the AR-15 from Wild West. It will be given away after the match by draw. Will post picture and info in a couple days for those who don't know about it yet.

I'll admit I drooled over that AR-15 a bit... It would instantly make my mag changes twice as fast as I could use LAR mags with .223 instead of my CZ with 5 rounders, LMAO! I don't think it would have the same charm though... And I like being different. :D

Still sad I can't make the next two events... Perhaps I'll have to get some goodies over in Albania to practice with while away... hahaha!

I had a great time, even if it was short lived for me that day. Watching my pistol skip across the ground is on film but I haven't brought myself to watch it yet. See you guys at the steel challenge.

P.S. thanks for the hug Tex.

I put a couple of videos up of my runs on Sundays match, :D

Next 3 Gun I'm at I will make sure to film from a non-shooter perspective. Not everyone likes to watch me struggle through a stage and I think it would be cool to have that "over-the-shoulder" sight picture of the shooter and targets while I score or just follow even. That being said, I'd need volunteers willing to be filmed is all, ;)
