Wrong rifle sent, no refund

A photo of reciept or hell even an order comfirmation email screen shot would have ended this.......... but nope, all we got is "I trust my friend".......

Buyer error! Hear of it often!
Customer is convinced and has it in their head that they are somehow far less likely to make a mistake than the retailer, so assume the retailer is automatically at fault.

To be fair to FOC , there wasn't an issue. It's simply buyers remorse. He bought one firearm , then decided he wanted another one, and expected the dealer to take it back.

That does seem to be the case , and FOC has a no firearm return policy which is standard for many gun stores . It looks like the only options at this point is to keep the gun in question , sell it privately , or trade it in .

This is a case of buyers remorse. He bought the wrong gun and wanted to try and upgrade it.

His account is from 2008, probably has a reputation to uphold so he doesn’t want anyone to blame him, so he invented this imaginary “friend” with a “lawyer wife” haha.

That’s dirty pool they record serial numbers and should easily confirm this is wrong. Trying to offload the Gen 1 junk what a great way to accomplish this as the Gen 2 is very popular.

You would be surprised what kind of smooth brains work in gun stores and know very little about gun models or the stock they are selling.

I ordered a shotgun from a retailer on Ontario, but later that day something wasnt sitting right with me so I called them, I asked to describe the firearm and to confirm visually, they obviously described the wrong firearm to what was actually on their website. I told them to immediately to cancel my order a d refund my money. If I hadnt done that, they would have sent me the gun and I probably would have spent days/ weeks trying to solve someone elses mistake.

So a guy orders a Magpul Edition Gen 1 and when he gets it he wants a Gen 2 instead. He receives the firearm and then gets buyers remorse and calls to exchange it.

Due to FOC following their Returns Policy they say no can do.

This dude then tells his buddy who has a CGN account and this guy goes and makes a post for "his friend."

His friend just happens to have a lawyer wife who does nothing about her husband's blunder while ordering online.

The CGN guy then decides not to buy anything from FOC because his friend fvcked up.

Morale of the story:

There are 2 more Gen 2s for anyone looking for one.

Sorry ladies, no invoice , no apologies, I had a question, it got answered. Everything else that was said , take it or leave it.
Personally I trust my friend and I will not be doing business with FOC in the future.

Cheers.

Point and laugh everyone, trying to drag a dealers name through the mud because his "friend" can't read.
"I believe my friend and won't be posting the very simple evidence that proves he's right or wrong"

I think I'm gonna put in an order from FOC just because of this

So yet another buyer claiming a company screwed them and as soon as the company figures out who's complaining it comes to light that the original complainer was wrong.

What a surprise. This is why most of us take the original whining with a grain of salt.

That’s not the story I am getting. Either way as a business why would you not try and accommodate the buyer? He had agreed to ship back at his expense to get the gen 2….I realize your no return policy on firearms is for a reason, but a brand new in the box rifle returned to get the proper one at the buyers expense could be an option for you to retain his business and the countless others he will tell of this negative experience. It’s not like he waited two weeks and played with the gun, he opened the box and immediately contacted you and sent pictures….
Thanks for the reply as well.

That's some kind of backpeddling from an initial complete misrepresentation of the situation.

Ouch, so much egg on ones face. Not going to lie, when I read the original post my instant thought was “his buddy thought the gen 1 was the gen 2 and is making up a storey to not look like a idiot”

No one was part of the conversation except the buyer and the company rep.

And throwing in that the buyers wife is a lawyer.

This post sounds like the buyer is trying to bully the vendor and dis credit them publicly for what could be the buyers own fault.

I would suggest the buyer take a polygraph and post the results to see if he is telling the truth.
