Wrong rifle sent, no refund

What a dumpster fire of the thread. If your order something and they ship it to you and you realize you made a mistake why is it up to them to fix it. Do people forget now that every firearm transfer requires transfer approval with the RCMP? Returning it is a whole process of more paperwork. its not like bringing back a hose clamp that's to small at home depot.

On top of that its not even the person is question its his friend. "My friend says this and the dealer says the other." Sounds like its between them and you didn't even need to get involved. lol

Loyal customers don't put on on blast on a public forum spreading misinformation. Your friend paid for a gun and we shipped it to him correctly. If we were to send the incorrect gun to a customer we would absolutely make it right, as other people have mentioned here in this exact thread.

The store policy is that guns are final sale. Many other things are also final sale, you can find a list here > https://www.firearmsoutletcanada.com/return-policy

Okay, anything else to say about the rest of the post, about accommodating a loyal customer and retaining a good client relationship?

Exactly. I just wanted to be clear that basically if I ordered a rifle and there was an issue would you accept it back. The answer I am assuming is NO YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN…..

To be fair to FOC , there wasn't an issue. It's simply buyers remorse. He bought one firearm , then decided he wanted another one, and expected the dealer to take it back.

Its far too easy for people to alter or swap parts which then once resold could maim or kill people, so to avoid the possible liability from such things they and everyone else have a no return policy.

I had a brand new AR15 explode on me after 5 rounds, Epps would not take it back. Had to deal with the manufacturer directly. Love or hate it, it is what it is.

So how about that invoice or apology?

If you sent the customer the wrong gun, you would make it right.

That is the answer I was looking for with my original question.

You can easily proof the truth of your claim by posting the invoice.
The burden is on you.

x4 I already told him this but cricket from him. Like I said from beginning this is all hearsay. It must be a very special friend for cman to come out making claim without evidence and make him look bad.

I don't think cman will provide any evidence. Case closed. Next! LOL

That is not accurate.

but you didnt placed the order so dont know 100% for sure.

thats why CGN do not allowed members selling on behalf of friends. what friends describe to us and what they ship out can be two different things.

CDN Gunworx Inc in Oshawa started doing this exact thing when the type 81 1st came out. Advertising fixed and folder, buy only actually had folders in stock. People ordered fixed and were just sent folders without question or disclosure. They were called out on it and were far from being up and up about the issue. What a shyt show. Have a look at their Google reviews, and they disappeared from CGN...
Every time those c*ck suckers get mentioned I see red. They ripped me and so many others off with their macabee SLR scam. Everyone involved in that business was a complete POS.

I am start to lose focus about OP's point in the thread. The business said they will make it right if the wrong item was shipped to the customer... they also said they shipped the right item since OP's friend indeed ordered a Gen 1 (according to the link from FOC's post)....Op then semi-admitted that the mistake was indeed made by the friend and now is asking the business to accommodate purely as a good well gesture....even after the business has said "No, all sales are final"....

I get it...you want to help your friend and you think by being a member on this board gives you some pull..... but rules are rules....if we make special concessions for friends or family then we are no better than JT.

Sorry ladies, no invoice , no apologies, I had a question, it got answered. Everything else that was said , take it or leave it.
Personally I trust my friend and I will not be doing business with FOC in the future.

Cheers.
