WSM-which one?

Comparable 300WSM and 300WM ammunition is pretty much the same price. Or it was the last time I looked at the ammo selection at Canadian Tire. I can load 300WSM and 300WM ammo for about the same price, maybe a bit cheaper for the WSM as the WM uses more powder.

Last time I checked locally, maybe a year and a half ago at our local Can Tire, 180 grain entry level 300 winmag was $29.99 and 300 WSM was $45.99. Definitely possible we are getting the shaft up north, but that was what I found. And the .300 wsm was the only WSM in stock a the time as well. At the time I was considering a 30 cal magnum, and seeing a $29.99 to $45.99 price difference for identical performance didn't leave much of a grey are for me to ponder.

Good for you if you can get 300 WSM for basically the same as 300 WM, as I know you've got a WSM.

It's sorta a moot point for me. I don't use factory ammo :)

Lol @ some of the replies, the 325WSM is an 8mm round, .323". Where do you fellas read some of this stuff? Btw, of all the WSM's the 325 is most likely the only one that is a real improvement on anything other than cartridge length.
