I dunno. I've been shooting 9mm, 38spl, 357, 40, 45 for a while. Used to enjoy shooting everything. Every caliber had it's time and place.
Lately though, I dont know what it is. I tend to shoot 45 ACP only. Nothing else seems to be as much fun anymore.
Help me... I believe I'm turning into a 45aholic...

The problem with .45acp is you become a brass slut, crawling around gun ranges on your hands and knees looking for that one missing casing.

Yeah, with 9 mm you have to talk yourself into picking them up. With 45 ACP, it's like they are a family heirloom (and some are old enough to be).

You answered your own question "nothing else seems to be as much fun anymore"
I am a .45aholic and I am a brass whore.
Was brass whoring at the range one time and found 200 pcs of once fired factory .45 brass.

i wish i could find some more brass.
im one of 3 people in the area who shoots 45acp (that i know of) and we all handload.
all i ever find is 9mm.
the worst part is when you cant find that one piece of brass and you keep looking and looking, but you cant find it. you tell your self, its just one piece only 10 cents its not worth it, but you keep looking any way.

Magicchip,

If you're looking for something more fun than .45 look no further than 10mm. It's a hell of a lot of fun and it's also very versatile if you reload. Yes brass is harder to come by but big deal. Once you get a good collection (e-bay, starline or wherever) you're good to go. I also find that at the range you're usually the only one shooting 10 so people know if they see 10mm brass it's the guy who's making the most noise. I never have a problem losing brass.

My first handgun was a Glock 20 and it was great. Very controllable, reliable, accurate etc. My next 10mm was a Delta Elite which got me into 1911's and I've since got a couple .45's. After shooting .45 for a while you go back to 10mm and remember how much fun shooting can be.

Anyway I pretty much guarantee if you're looking for a fun caliber, 10mm is the one for you.

hehe...does that mean you are not a normal man?

I love the .45 too. Its so good to me, it is the only caliber is shoot in handguns.

What is not to like? The brass is re-useable almost unlimited times, even out of my Glock. Low pressure equals low brass deformation. At my range, there is usually someone running factory ammo through their 1911 who doesn't want the brass. I struck out last time, but the trips before that I came away with 100 pieces each.

It also makes big holes in paper that I can see from a distance. With a nine mm or similar I practically need binoculars.:D

There is something lovable about the "fat boy" .45ACP. Nice and heavy in the hand and the recoil is satisfying, a nice push rather than an annoying flip.
