WTF is it about the 45ACP?

The problem with .45acp is you become a brass slut, crawling around gun ranges on your hands and knees looking for that one missing casing.
I used to do that at SND nights in abby. Now that im in the states I buy 45 for 8 bucks a box I couldn't be bothered with picking up the brass anymore. That and they are aluminum :D

.45 FTW!

45 acp in revolver

Was reading all your comments, I think you forget to mentionned that the .45 acp is a great shooter in a revolver too.And one peasure is that brass are easy to pick up in these moonclips. Had a S&W 625-1 mdl of 1988 5 inches that I sold a while ago, but only to finance the purchase of a 625-8 Performance Center , Use it in IPSC , great shooter, built like vault, but smooth as silk and trigger broke like glass. Recently got a 625-3 with 3 inches barrel, and for the fun of it, shoot it with regular and +P 200gr... Yeah I am a 45holic, proud to be one. All my semi are .45 acp,and presently waiting for a Springfield Armory XD in .45, with the nickel slide, order it 3 months ago, but presently I am craving for a M&P in .45 acp....I think I will have to ask manufacturer to stop produce .45, even stop smoking to keep collecting and shooting .45 acp. Anyone see the new Model of 1917, or aware who get them in Kanada?

Hehehe, I have seen friends do that, and have to admit doing that myself with other calibers.

I'm told by others at the range that over time a light goes on in ones head and then one get something more civilized like a revolver in 44Mag, or 45 Colt, and then they no longer have to chase brass all over the place. :D

Especially as time goes on and ones knees and back are not at their best anymore. :p

I have shot beretta's, smith's glocks and cz's autos and wheel guns but man the 1911 just feels right. It sits in my hand like the gods meant it to be there. My 45's are the most fun and my favs.

So how do you compare the 1911 to a fine pistol like the p99 in 'feel'?

Lucas

All individual.
P99 - some like it, many dont for various reasons.
1911 - almost everyone loves it. Those few that dont, piss sitting down :D
