X-reload - buyer beware

X reload = high prices and credit card scamming in my half dozen buying experiences with them, and they don't care!

I once asked them if they could cut me a deal if were to order like 5 or 6 dozen ( yes, dozen) Forster Aluminum Die Lock Rings.

I was wanting to support a Canadian business in lieu of saving like 7% by ordering from Brownell's online.

I took them 2 weeks and 2 emails for them to get back to me, in which they flat out would not budge on any kind of volume discount.

meh... I tried to support them.. oh well Brownell's got my business instead.

I'm a French Canadian who was a fraud investigator. I avoid buying anything from Quebec! Take it for what it's worth.

I also live in Quebec. When X-Reload started out they were good to deal with. Now their prices have increased and shipping on powders and primers have gone nuts. I avoid them unless I need something that I can't get somewhere else. As to Quebec dealers there are crooks in all provinces, one is no better than the other. Londero and Sporteque , located in Quebec, are first class people to deal with.

I have never had problems with them, but I also use a different credit card.

I think you can run into issues with every company, may be them, may be the person working there on that particular day.

I had 2 credit cards scammed from a company I was buying bicycle parts from in the UK, a friend recommended the company then found out on Redit after I was scammed that this happened to a lot of people.

Shipping.... Jesus, yeah Xload is bad, but there are worse. Gun Dealer wants $60 shipping for a plastic mag lol.

Must be what I order as I look at all dealers and x reload is always the cheapest, fast shipping, never had a problem

I've been lucky myself but haven't had to use their customer service. With all the cc issues, high prices and often they'll only have a couple things I want in stock, I typically avoid them. Hirsch is great but shipping costs and transit times are not the best. Budget is fantastic. I try to buy from Henry as a point. His customer service is always top notch. He once accidentally sent me 900 bullets instead of the 1k I bought, one quick email and he had 100 more in the mail with a tracking number same day with a big apology.

I've made maybe 3 orders from them, the first time because they were the only place that had what I needed. Every time shipping was quick and received exactly what I ordered. That being said a lot of people, myself included like to know how a company's customer service is in case it's ever needed. So thank you for the post. Companies need reviews good or bad to help others make informed decisions.

I've purchased many items off them in the past, never a problem.

Good selection/stock, decent prices, and in the mail the next day.

I'm not going to delete the bookmark...

If need be i'll buy from them. They're local to me.
They have been the only place where I've been able to get LRP.
I always do 'pickup in store'.
Their prices for Varget are ridiculous. I can get it at a better price but have to drive for an hour. It still ends up being cheaper, even with gas cost included and still leaves me a few dollars for Tim Horton's.

hmmmmmm...I have ordered from them in the past...bullet tips only tho. This is pause for reflection, if I'm ever looking for "other items".
Thanks for the HU !!

Interesting. I didn’t know they sold polymer tips separately from the bullet. Do you just drill a hole in the bullet glue them on?

Only place i could find starline 45-70 brass. Sent emt yesterday already have tracking number. First purchase from them though.

Me too. Never had a single negative experience with them. As for the prices, if the item is cheaper somewhere else, then buy it there. You can’t buy everything at the same place all the time.

The OP had an issue with a die. I 100% agree though that they should have taken it back.
