X-reload - buyer beware

Rusty Wood Trading sells Starline brass
45-70 not listed on the website but I’m sure they can order it
They are a great company to buy from

I tried getting brass from Rusty wood once before. It was not in stock and I asked to be out on a waiting list and they were quite rude and refused stating he has no “time” for that…
As for X reload a few years back my card did get hit by them so I quit buying from them
But when they got the emt option I started buying from them again and have had no issues whatsoever
I got what I ordered and it was shipped out promptly. I have not had to use their CS so can’t comment on that

My experience as well. Card got hacked, stopped buying from them for a couple of years. Now they take EMT I'll buy stuff again.

Pretty much all their products are list price, but other than them and Prophet River I have a hard time finding Redding dies.

I've bought lots from them, never an issue and fast shipping. High prices? Clearly some of you have not perused our EE section lately....

I was thinking the same thing.

No not as cheap as Higginsons though.

There was a guy that messaged me about some 243 ammo that I am getting. He was upset when it was $30/box back when it came out (this is premium ammo) and suggested he would give $15 or so a box because the ammo was "old". I had a really good laugh, premium 243 is now $70-80/box and nickel plated brass is more than what he was offering for the loaded factory ammo.

People seem to be stuck in the 80s when they consider ammo prices.

I was looking for some products that they have in stock and was just looking up some more info on the products when I read your post. Thanks for the heads up I was going to order from them but will never order from them now #### those guys.

I find their prices mostly reasonable in today’s context. I regularly shop there
I have to give them credit for maintaining reasonable prices when others were involved in price gouging on LR primers

It's scary to say this, but X-Reload is suddenly one of the best priced stores to buy reloading components from. I don't think they got better, so much as everyone else got worse.

Forget it..no matter how great they are..there is none on the market to order. Same with 44-40 and many others. They just stopped to make them for now, not only Starline but Winchester - Remington ect.

Crazy news on here. I have probably placed some 15 or so orders from xreload and have never had an issue. I guess I should feel fortunate based on posts on here. Having said that I buy all my powder and primers locally as they have the lowest prices in Canada. Really shows you how much most retailers are jacking up the prices.

The credit card skimming issue was pre-Covid or early Covid if memory serves me. I was one of the many that had their cards skimmed back then. Annoying, but the CC company ate those charges.
Someone here posted that the 3rd party payment company that XR used caught the person doing it, no idea if that's reality. But I don't recall anyone in the last 2-3 years or so having their cards skimmed after ordering from XR.
They aren't the only CGN sponsor to have skimming issues, but it certainly isn't a good look.
That being said I only started ordering from XR again in the last year or so. Mainly because they had stuff that I simply couldn't find in stock anywhere else after looking for months. I've ordered 2-3 times without issue.
I generally look for things locally first, then from Henry (BSS) or Eagle, with XR down the list. But I think they're good to go these days from a credit card security standpoint.

They are fairly local to me and I’ve been buying from them since he started in a shed behind his home.
I can honestly say I’ve had great service from them.
If I’m in the area I place an order online maybe 30 minutes before I arrive.
His employee knows me by name and brings the order out as soon as he sees my vehicle.

I’ve had my credit card compromised as did anyone else when they had a data breach.
It could happen to anyone.
