Edit. Just realised you said this is at 25 yards. That is rather poor.

Take the handguard barrel shim ring that goes around the barrel off and I bet it does better

Edit, got my answers from your much more detailed posts in the other thread.
Try some different ammo.
Good luck

Just update 53 gr hornaby super varmint.....4 under a dime and one a quarter inch out at twenty five yards.....
Found the load it likes who would have thought light and fast. This things has potential will explore further after weekend and update but looking very promising.

Wife decided she didnt like the Aimpoint PRO, So just ordered a MRO from Rampart :) and a ADM mount from Brownells.

Hopefully that will stop her nagging.

Im still waiting on my grip from Wolverine, But I do love my Curved buttpad tho !

Took my X95 to the CQB course in Milo for 2 days... FLAWLESS, except user error. When your constantly changing mags it's hard to remember if you have that last round chambered LoL.
After it was all said and done the absolute last program we ran at the end of the day was called "the mad minute"... 48 people all lined up side by side with as many rifle/pistol mags as possible and let er rip.
After 12 mags as fast as possible through the X95 I transitioned to my M&P 9mm VTAC.. after 10 mags of that my right index finger would not respond so I had to change hands for the last 2 pistol mags Hahaha.

Final verdict, save your money.
This rifle either needs a long break in period to lap the barrel or there is something seriously wrong with it's design.
After about 300 rounds through it and two other shooters putting rounds through it.
It is one of the most inconsistent rifles I have ever owned with 53 gr hornaby super varmint it will periodically pull in three bullets under an inch at a hundred with two unexplainable flyers increasing size of group to just over two inches.
55 gr soft points similar performance.
Everything else I ran through it grouped anywhere from three to six inches with no rhymn or reason to shot patterns.
Have wasted an incredible amount of money chasing different loads.
What seems to shoot the best is the 53gr hornaby super varmint. Light and fast.
Not consistent performer......
If anyone has any suggestions other than selling it.
Perhaps buying a barrel with different rifling.
Oh yes and the search function on here sucks.

Dont be such a smart ass... lol

It really has very little point to it, unless you are mounting aiming devices to the handguard.

And removing it would likely make about an 1/8 of an inch difference in the size of the group at 100 yards if it improved it at all.
People need to simply accept that these are not overly accurate rifles and they did not build them with match grade barrels. Nothing you do short of changing the barrel is going to make these consistent 1 moa rifles. It's performing exactly the way it was designed to perform and if you didn't buy it to be a quick handling rifle that balances well for offhand shooting in the field you probably should have bought a different rifle. These are not designed to make small groups shooting off a table.

Was Barney in Calgary? Sounds exactly like the end of the second day of the CQB course I did last summer with him. So much fun, my 3 AA Beowulf mags and all my LAR mags and then my G21 all got a real workout for that madness :)
I'd love to do it again :p

Same here, To this day I still dont have the manual of arms down 100% on my Tavor/X95. Ive been known to change mags on the X95 the Tavor way ... LMFAO... and not getting very far ....lol...

Sounds like you bought this rifle expecting it to be a tac driver. Its a CQB rifle that does its job extremely well.

Yes he was :) such an awesome course and a great guy. He will be back next year... however there are 5 matches planned at the Milo range and they should be just as fun as Buckaroo will be heading them!

I plan on bringing the X out every time I go to the range or go out on the RZR so by the end of the season I should have it down pat... I hope lol.
The 12 Pmags I brought were brand new from a couple site sponsors and by the end of the 2nd day the rivet popped out on 2 of the mags making them 30rds... I was going to use them for the mad minute but the guy next to me is like " hey see that go over there(pointing to a gentleman 20' away loading his mags).... he's a cop". SOB I said. Almost had some real fun LoL.

I bought this rifle to be a good reliable varmint rifle. That took initially 80 rounds to zero a red Dot sight at 25 yards off a sand bag. That is the most I have ever used to get a rifle on at a 25. And if your wondering why 25 that is what you use for a 50 yard zero on a red Dot sight. Point of impact is 2 inches below your point of aim. I bought this rifle not expecting a tack driver but a rifle that would perform in a consistent manner. So that I am not wasting expensive varmint ammo.
The rifle this one replaced was just too long and front heavy for quick shooting, it was reliable and a consistent shooter.
Not really up for that whole spray and pray type shooting.
Not only is it wasteful it's unsafe to punch out more than what you need.
So let me explain what this rifle is used for. Predator control, to do that you need something you can mount a light on. Since you have a light on that dictates that you need a red Dot sight. Trust me when I say irons or scopes do not work. Size of rifle is a bonus smaller the better.
Now you will notice there is not much mention of shooting off a bench or getting all dressed up in my zombie apocalypse outfit and going to the range. It is supposed to fill a very specific role.

Oh yes I am not looking for a 1 moa rifle, I bought this rifle due to the fact it was reliable out of box and a 2 moa rifle.
The alternative I was looking at was picking up a t97 flat top and getting a lower with the proper safety on it. Thought I would spend a few extra dollars and get something with proven reliability that you did not have to #### around with well I was wrong.
And if I could I would use my ar15 with 14 1/2 inch barrel sitting in my weapons vault.
One curious thing it does is chew up the bullets and not brass, load a couple mags and cycle them through. Some of the bullets get gouged and scraped by point, not where rifling lands can this be a factor????
If it needs a different barrel where can a guy get one for it.
Or if there is a fix for this rifle I would love to hear about it.
I have committed to at least a five hundred rounds break in period before I decide what to do with it.
