X95, not all that great.

Is that the D-EVO on your rifle? If so, how do you like it?

I found it hard to go from 1-4 ( or is it 6?) by just shifting eye position. Also I found the fixed eye relief quite unforgiving. But I didn't get to play much with it, a few years ago.

Red dot on top, 6x on bottom. Although it functions well, I would have to say I'm pretty weak at red dots. Even transitioning between targets at 50m I found myself using the 6x more often than the red dot. The LEOs loved it but I actually didn't ask them if they were transitioning much.

IiRC, this optic was originally designed for Mil/LE applications for a specific SF unit. Leupold worked with them to train them to instinctively transition between the RDS and the 6x. It was apparently quite effective but it does take some work to teach your brain though.
Nice and rare optic Stormchaser! Nice set up with the x95 also.

Hits the gong all day. If it's a 12'' gong, it might be okay to your standards but it's far from acceptable in my book.

Then you are shopping for the wrong rifle. This is not a DMR rifle and it does exactly what it was designed to do which is hit man sized targets out to 300m. It is not a target rifle and was never intended to be one. When it comes to semi auto battle type rifles you may need to lower you standards a little. There are very few semi auto battle type rifles out there that can actually shoot consistently sub 2 moa. Plenty of fluke one off groups people like to show but to do it consistently is rare.
Try to find the my black rifle shoots sub moa all day long thread, I went 12 pages and couldn't find it which tells me that very few rifles/shooters are actually capable of shooting to the levels people think these rifles should shoot. Just because it cost $3000 doesn't mean that it will shoot 1 moa with any ammo and any shooter.

The x95 is a 3 to 4 MOA gun, it is good enough for the IDF.

If that's good enough for your intended application and you like the form factor and willing to pay for it, buy it.
If not, don't.

No amount of forum debating is going to alter pricing and/or physical characteristics.

Case closed.

The X95 was never designed as a DMR, people seem to think because of its cost it should be the "one gun to bind them all". Fact is you get a high quality versatile environment, durable workhorse of a military style rifle that hits what you aim at and won't let you down, while being non-restricted and designed and manufactured by the Isreali's who know a heck of a lot more about war zones than most people. Its like saying the TaylorMade 7 iron is unacceptable cause I can't use it as a driver. It is not for the bench rest shooter. It is more for the run and gunner.

Yes it was never designed as a dmr......But they put an acog on it with a bipod and use it as one.

The purpose of the post was to show my experience with the rifle........The rifle would not shoot.......Rounds were all over the map....But once I ran some steel case through it it shoots beautifully now. Well pleased with it, for my intended purpose. It's a varmint rifle that is extremely handy and reliable. The way I have it set up with a red Dot and flashlight it is good to the treeline....174m which is where my steel plate is located.
The rifle for my purpose is perfectly suited for it's intended role varmint rifle.
I only need it to be accurate for the first few rounds.....Which it is, two coyotes and a fox says it is......
My friend purchased an x95 recently, he did not have any issues with his, out of box a consistent shooter up until the barrel heats up. He doesn't mind, it is perfect for his intended role.
So if you do purchase one of these cycle a mag through it and examine the bullet tips if they are chewed up run some cheap barnal steel case through before you ditch the rifle......Just to clean up feed ramps.

Did you let it touch your m305 and get infected?

It is shooting nice now, I am pretty sure what was happening was there was something chewing up the tips of the bullets as they were being fed into chamber.
Running the cheap steel cased ammunition through it seems to have sorted it out.
With Hornady 53gr super varmint it will easily pull in a group you can cover with a dime at 50 yards. Here is where the quirckiness of rifle comes into play. You cannot do this with any pressure on forend. You push the front of trigger guard into a cup you form in a sandbag and it will group as long as it does not have a heated up barrel.
This is why I am hoping the will produce a podium bipod for this rifle......I think it will be an even more effective rifle with that feature added.
