Xcr failing to eject

Yeah I'm going to g ahead and buy a new extractor and a few springs and go from there. The joys of buying off EE.

Nah. Its bound to happen with that little chunk of rubber. My first "spring" did this. The difference between a new one and my "melted" one was amazing. The new one is stiff like a hockey puck. The old one was flacid! ...yet it still only sometimes malfunctioned.

Buy a punch (i forget what size) and file it half way through. Makes taking it apart easier. Otherwise i ordered like 15 of these "springs" to keep me supplied for a long time.

Please don't hate on the XCR. There has been enough of that already on this site and the owners can be sensitive to it, what with owning the steaming pile of crap and all....

I sold mine a ways back. Couldn't justify the cost (even second hand) for a rifle that shot 7" groups with irons at 100 meters using good quality ammo.
That being said though, it's very solid design and very reliable (as long as you don't use anything rubber melting to clean the bolt! lol) but solid rifle, reliable, cool features, adjustable gas system, excellent ergonomics etc
Just way too expensive for what you get. My mini 14 is way more accurate, lighter, just as reliable and more balanced for a fraction of the price.

Recieved my new extractor spring and extractor today, seems to get a lot tighter and with an empty cartridge not loose at all. Hopefully this will fix the problem.
