Pretty low grade glass, the illumination washes out in the sunlight, comparable in overall quality to a millet 1-4.
The vortex pst 1-4 is about as low as I'd go price wise vs quality in 1-4's. They also come with a mil turret and mil reticle.
Stay away from ballistic drop compensated reticles, they'll only ever be "close" accuracy wise. Some are way out once you factor in the atmospherics and your particular projectile weight and velocity.
Next step up at $700 is the swfa 1-4, which has excellent glass, a ffp mil reticle, mil turrets, daylight bright illumination, and durable construction.
It's better than most 1-4's costing twice as much, but availability is an issue, you have to import them as swfa doesn't export them.
The trijicon 1-4 is around $1000, glass is good, but it has a strange "fish eye" effect, and the reticle options suck badly.
Next at $1000 is the swfa 1-6, has all the winning features of the 1-4, but they're unobtanium right now unless you preordered and imported one a while ago.
Past that there's a few more, but if I were going more than a $1000, I'd go straight to the s&b short dot or the swarovski 1-6. In for a penny in for a pound, lol !
But at least you'd have good resale value.
