XCR-M - Picture heavy! Post 30 - brief range report!

The only problems I've had during breaking in my xcr-m were failures to eject cause I turned the gas down too low and my scope rotating 45 degrees cause I didn't tighten the scope rings properly. Can't blame either of these on the rifle though.
 
I haven't shot many rounds out of mine either, but it did run flawlessly the only time I have had mine out. It has very little recoil, and although it feels just a little bigger then my XCR-L, it is such a comfortable and ergonomic rifle. You really have to use one before you can appreciate the difference between it and a standard M4 AR.
 
Congrats, man. You're gonna love the XCR-M. I've finally pretty much broken mine in, so I can turn the gas down a bit now and start focusing on getting my groupings tighter and not worrying about throwing brass thirty feet! The rifle is awesome, can't say enough about it. Enjoy!

I'm going to follow the manuals instructions for gas break-in - I'm hoping that I won't see too many FTE's. What was yours set to?

I like the ergonomics of it. Sadly - I won't be able to play with it for a while - I have a badly sprained wrist.

Thanks! Looking forward to taking it out. It'll be a while, I sprained my wrist pretty badly Saturday.
 
Country to what the manual may say please start your rifle on the lowest gas setting that she will work with and keep her generously lubed. Running her on the max setting is unnecessarily hard on her unless required. Keep your barrel nut tight, 250 inch lbs, the chamber clean and the gas cylinder nut tight and you should have no problems.
