XCR Photoshoot....post em up let your XCR Freak Flag Fly

updating my pics, added some holes in my homemade stock extension to miminc the gas tube vents. then I bolted on a small pic rail. tried a flashlight on it and it works quite well actually. not in the way at all and saves space on the front of the rifle.

That stock looks so goofy man lol sorry I had to say it. But as long as it works...Function over form!

yep thats right it functions "gooder" for me LOL. ill switch over to the dlask adapter and an AR stock when the funds allow it.

At least you make it work man! :) I'd do it too if I needed a longer LOP. Also glad you are enjoying your xcr!

oh man am I ever! no regrets at all. the price was hard to swallow but its worth it in the end if you only have NR rifles.

no I could have went with 1.5" but decided to go 3" just in case. its easier to shorten it LOL. ill prolly end up cutting it in half or swapping to a AR stock but for now it works. The FAST fully extended was just too short.

You bet, Hoplite. I left 5 notches all around for bipod, sling mount, etc. Can't put them back on once the milling machine gets involved ;)

Agreed. Same thing I was thinking of doing with my last XCR. How is the handguard for heat after a few strings of fire?

BTW do you need a Inforce WML for that bad boy ;)? We have them on sale at the moment (click here if interested).

Well thanks for the sales pitch :) however I have spent enough money on this gun recently... I will keep you in mind next time I look to buy something of the sort!

As for the handguard, it got warm after 5 mags of 5 shot in fairly quick succession. But by warm I mean "luke warm coffee that should have been drank an hour ago" type of warm. Certainly not too warm to be uncomfortable, though I didn't shoot too many mags in a row, so it could perhaps get a bit hotter. I don't think it is something to worry about.

Wow... that is a beauty shot Wildcat. I'm hoping to bag a deer with my 6.8 barrel, but man... taking a moose with the XCR would be pretty sweet. By the way, which ACOG are you using? I just got my TA01, and I think ACOG's may be my new favourite optic.
