Xcr war

Thanks guys for all your comment! I'm currently leaning toward the xcr-l .223 for now, (even though I know in then end I'll want both of them) but I'm juste scared the xcr-l will look goofy with the 18,5 barrel. Anyone has some pics that they took themselves?! It would help me decide, I'm just not conviced with the pics I find on google.

It looks fine; anything shorter than 18.5" and it becomes restricted and you're limited to range shooting anyway.

Thats pretty much exactly how it looks from Robinson except I put troy micro sights instead of Midwest Industries.

do these more capable rifles shoot lazers or plasma??? Didn't think so...I think the shooter makes the rifle capable not vise versa...well maybe not in mall ninja landLaugh2

:onCrack: 'more capable' being defined as holding attributes that are superior to these two products. Accuracy, reliability, robustness, etc.
The shooter is certainly a large part of the equation, but the rifle is a fairly large part of the puzzle.

It doesn't look goofy at all but it is front heavy. The tipping point is about an inch forward of the barrel bolt. Here it is with troy rail covers, vertical front grip and a GI mag.

Well if it is anything like the L, it's going to be just a bigger, heavier steaming coiler....
If anyone thinks holding a .223 barrel in with one bolt is a crappy idea, how's that going to work out with .308?Laugh2

I'm impressed that you can review the xcr-m without firing it or holding it. You win the Internet.

LOL Every XCR thread turns into a war. OP XCR-M is what I would buy, but I already got the L. I just feel that for hunting the M will be more usefull overall. If you just want to plink with the occasional deer hunt an L X-39 is hard to beat.

I have uppers in 223 & 6.8SPC and I keep emailing Alex @ Robinson Arms asking him for a conversion kit in 458 SOCOM... :D

I hunt deer/bear with the 6.8SPC loaded with my 95gr Barnes TTSX @ 2825fps and coyotes with the 223 loaded with 40gr V-Max @ 3200fps.

Belted seriously, you don't even remember what you said? In response to the OP's question you said "neither, there are better products out there".

Obviously you must have extensive trigger time behind the XCR-M. How does is it compare to an m14? An RFB? Sr25?

Or are you talking out of your ass, and haven't even seen one in person yet?

Hmmm. Well considering the -M isn't out yet, I'll go on the hunch people understand I'm referring to the stellar reputation of the only XCR product out there...Do you honestly believe it is going to be any different (better) than it's smaller sister? Am I drawing conclusions on something that hasn't been released yet? Absolutely. Is that fair? Time will tell I guess, but I'll put money on 'yes it is'. Anyhow, I've stirred the hornets nest enough. I'll let you guys get back to your circle jerk over which POS is better.:D

Have to agree. The XCR is luke warm at best, I doubt its bigger brother will be much better if at all. Over priced, under achieving rifles.

So you were talking out of your ass! And you answered like a politician to boot. You deserve a cookie.

Wow I was wondering how long it would take the dump on Alex Robinson/XCR crowd to circle their wagons, regroup and continue dumping on the XCR-M now that we have a confirmed price (of under $3000) and expected delivery date (December). Go, go, go... away.
