Hey if I was south of the border, I'd go for the XD Sub Compact. In any caliber, they look so cool. Had an XD40 Tacticle, liked it, bought an XD45 Tacticle. It's very nice. If you like the G21, give this a try. You should have one man!
The only thing that sucks about the XD, is that parts are hard to get. Have not needed any except for one firing pin indicator that broke it two. The gun still functioned without it. Call SA they mailed me a new one free , nice. Xray

I bought my XD45 from a small dealer in Peterborough Ontario and both the transfer and the delivery were very fast. Price was very good too. Love the gun. Love it. It is like a Glock but with a grip safety and I would carry it anywhere, excepting that my HK P7M8's are smaller, thinner and more accurate. THOSE are my carry guns when I am stateside. However, both the XD and the HK are sufficiently accurate that they shoot better than I can handheld (as opposed to a bench rest). Have a look at the HK P7 series before they are all gone as they are not making any more due to high cost of production. It is a very unusual pistol... a striker actuated handgun (+1) with a grip safety (+1+); or on the HK actually more than a grip safety... if you are carrying one in the chamber, which you should always do when carrying concealed or otherwise, it is not even cocked until you grip it.... ergo the name "squeeze cocker". OTOH, that XD series is like Glock excepting that it has the grip safety which to my mind makes it much safer for concealed carry and somewhat safer for 'duty' or open carry (where it is OWB and aimed at the ground during the carry process). I love the XD's and will probably add a collection of them to my Glock collection. Dunno why, I seem to have a great affinity to Glocks as well due to their absolute reliability and simplicity of construction. Under forty parts in total. Hmmm.
