I don't know about whether they sold bare actions, but I have a Tikka 65 in .30-06 that I inherited when my grandfather passed on. He bought it new around 1979 I believe. The build quality and accuracy is incredible and it is a joy to shoot. But, I have a soft spot for a smooth action, crisp trigger, great accuracy, deep bluing and gorgeous wood.
Lucky for me, he bought a spare mag at the time as well.
I am confident that the rifle will outlast me and that I'll be passing it on to my child or grandchild someday.
I'm glad you got yours up and running again,
Adam
