You Don't Own A Type 81 - You Can't Speak For Us

and some guys like DILLIGAF are way too real about the whole thing it's hilarious. And he is right... it's just another bullet hose. No more special than the next one.

Usually people call me a troll, This is a nice change :) . I guess I cant troll if I have one and all the other SKS variants to compare it to...lol... ( yes I know im still missing the Valmet, Im working on it )

I have no reason to doubt my Type 81 will be a solid 2-3 MOA gun once i get the optic on it.

With an optic, and firing good ammo that isn't surplus, this might be possible, stress might. If you get a consistent 2" MOA I would consider that very good indeed. For me good ammo would be the American Eagle FMJ loading and the Hornady SST for factory rounds. I have some S&B soft points too but don't consider them as range fodder, at least not from my semis.

What is the best groups reported from an 858? I can't recall ever seeing anyone post better than 3-4" groups, optics or not.

yah im excited for it too :p Got the side mount in route from Westrifle.... and got the homeless POSP sitting on my shelf. And a sh!t load of shims to compensate for the bend.

Lol, which mount did you order? I was looking on Amazon for something for an AK, mine doesn't need shims though, it's built perfectly straight and I used my professional laserometer training to ensure it's within 0.000001" :p

I thought the whole "SKS858, SKS81" thing a bit much, especially considering how long and often you kept trotting it out. Maybe if you were able to get more than just the bottom feeders to respond it could have been more amusing ;)

But really, anyone who owns pretty much every semi auto x39 rifle there is to own in Canada can post what they like lol. Very nice collection BTW

You can pick any thread on this site, about any firearm. They will all feature the same themes for the most part.

There will be the "fanboys", complimented in turn by the "haters". And all the shades in between.

There will be exhortations that firearm "A" is superior to firearm "B", and rebuttals back.

There will be a lot of opinion and after winnowing through the posts, some nuggets of wisdom to be found. But mostly just trolling or mouthbreathers behind keyboards.

Non of it stops us from coming back for more though does it ;)

It's like that on any forum. Automobile forums are way, WAY more savage than CGN.

Ford Vs GM or Domestic Vs Import threads get heated!

MY CSA with a PKA dot will pattern Czech surplus at around 2.75 MOA im sure i could shrink that down a bit more with magnification and a better ammo. Although in my experience the Czech ammo does shoot really nice out of all my x39 guns.

Troll. There back on track. And don't you dare change. You bring far too much entertainment to our lives.

I think my CZ 858 is the better built rifle but I do like how the T81 feels and I am expecting 3-4 moa like most of my other x39 bullet hoses. I did have a Chinese commercial sks that was a solid 2 Moa with Czech surplus so you can get some shooters from the Chinese. When you factor in what the Chinese ak's were going for 20 years ago these are pretty much inline with inflation, maybe $200 higher but I shoot these type of guns just to blow off some steam and smash some steel at 1 to 200 yards so they are worth the cash to me.

Personally I feel the term bullet hose is best and most appropriately applied to submachine guns such as the PPsH and other burp guns. Guns that you didn't really aim but swept around and over your target, like watering a garden almost.

But it is close enough to describe our 7.62x39 rifles lol. This gun is just another in the collection and scratches my AK itch better than my 858 does.

I don't abuse my guns and I haven't babied my shooter 858 but I plan to put the 81 to the test. I won't be rusting it out or beating on it just to prove a point, I will be using this gun lots and often and not caring if it gets worn from doing so. If I get the chance I will hunt with it too, if you hunt you know what this can do to a gun, granted some guys are rougher than others on their guns but hunting is never easy on a gun.

Once my MG34 gets here Im pretty sure my interest in the T81 will quickly disappear. lol... A belt feed bullet hose with no capacity restriction will be even more fun than any stupid semi pinned to 5...

If I could get my hands on an MG34 and a .308 conversion kit.... yeah, I would have little interest in my 81 too.

My only concern would be my ammo bill lol.

Is yours the original 8mm and if so do you have plans on converting it?

You'll be rocking the fully-semiauto! lol

Hahahaha, At least its safer that way. Wouldn't want a snowflake to piss himself .

8mm is 83 cents a round ( CanAm sales) and Ill probably only shoot it once a year. No need for a conversion. I bought this to piss of the antis in my family more than anything else. and it will be displayed in my home like a trophy of freedom ( or what little freedoms we have left )

The price to pay to trigger the left is worth every penny.

One thing you will like on the TNW MG34 is the ability to use both fingers to pull that trigger.

I own some really nice guns. Guns that I ask a lot more from then my Type 81 will ever give me.

I suggest shooting the other guns more over buying over priced chicom junk, but it's your money.

However, in my 35 years of collecting firearms I have never known a gun to incite so much nonsense from those who claim to be disinterested then the Type 81.

It would seem that those on CGN who claim to not want a Type 81 have becomes more obsessed with them then those who actually like and own them. These Type 81 threads have proven one thing: The Type 81 is of serious interest!

The obsession is with the 81 fanboys who somehow believe they've won the rifle lottery..

I know what this rifle is and what it isn't and I am super stoked to be 1 of 1000 who own one.

No you don't know what the 81 is and isn't capable of. If you did you would never have bought one and you wouldn't be stoked to be part of the crowd that did..

Buying bent rifles that you waited years to get is nothing to brag about.. I haven't seen any hard use range reports either. Oh and as far as groups go, if the rifle can shoot head sized groups to 300 yards then it's effective for what it was designed for.
