Just watched the video:

1. how would one ACTS/PROVE and show safe? RO's are gonna love this one.

2. what's holding the site rail on? one screw at the front and two wings at the back? I don't think that's going to hold zero, especially if it has to (as I suspect) be removed for cleaning.

1. Likely through the magazine opening, or simply treat it like a single action revolver.

Sweet baby zombie jesus. I want this to be in canada and as good as I've been fantasizing they are.

These are coming in for leo's and military guys right?

they are shipping as we speak. i already got mine. nice shooter

I went hunting with mine. I wasn't having much luck at first but then my luck changed for the better and I was able to get a Unicorn. Next week I'm going hunting either for a Sasquatch or the Ogo pogo. I'm not sure which yet

No they aren't shipping in Canada yet. There only seem to be about 50 in circulation in the States right now.

Mr. Smitty - did you apply for the permit? If yes - thanks for being my test subject. I didn't have the balls to potentially toss away $300 (at the time) Canadian bucks! :)

No, I didn't I am waiting for the non restricted ones Arms East is bringing in. I have no use for a restricted 308 at the moment. I have two on order with Walt and I am #1 on the call list.

What is the "official" update on the RFB as of June 7 2009? Anybody have an "in" on that?

When there are so few in circulation, I think it's pretty clear that we won't be seeing them for a while. Even with export approval.

Official as in what? When Civilians can have them?? Some LEO can submit paperwork and should be able to get one.

If you are a plain 'Joe', you are waiting until ??? Late Fall? New years?

This is just not fair....

What's not fair? That americans have something we don't?

Walt made it very clear that this wasn't going to be an overnight, instant gratification deal, and that it might not even happen.
If it does, terrific, I'll be happy.

If not, oh well.

But I'm pretty much forgetting about it until I get an e-mail from Arms East.

I'm well aware of the time lines involved...If I knew then, what I know now (and had the cash...), I would have ordered 4 Tavors.....
The comment was directed @ the bayo lug more than any thing else....bet the "Certified Canadian Safe For Hunters" won't have that adapter......:(

I'm on the 'list', and have settled in for the multi year wait- that's not an issue. If the process survives the next Federal Election, it's a bonus.

My mistake.

Myself, I'm not worried about a bayonet lug. I won't be needing it while on the quad in the bush, or hunting moose, or sitting in a bear stand, etc.
