You Know You're a Handloading Addict If...

You finally order a new rifle you've been looking at for months, and then you enjoy selecting the reloading components and dies more than you did choosing the rifle.

Finding a hockeysock full of spent cartridges at the range, taking them home, tumbling them, buying dies & bullets...then go looking for a gun that matches.

you know you are an addict when you pick up a strange shell at the range and then come home order the dies, brass, bullets and powder, before realizing you don't even have a firearm in that calibre...................yet.:D

I've got dies for calibres I don't shoot... why? Cause I found a bunch of brass at the range and thought "I should probably tumble and resize this, just in case"

3) Eating way more kraft peanut butter than is healthy so you can have the container to label something like "winchester once fired" or "full length resized" etc

Sad but true

You watching me? I just got another plastic jar yesterday after the kids went at it with no limits. Did I chastise them for it? Nope. Just glad to have another jar in the cabinet.

You're crazy when the ammo factory is on hot standby

You know that you're a reloading fanatic when all your equipment is on "hot standby"!
I can start cranking out ammo with my "factory" with 5 minute notice 7/24!

My girlfriend thinks that it's a sign of my incredible organization, I think that it's a sign of my incredible motivation!

When you actually take a bit of time to hunt, the only thing important is bullet performance. Finding yourself so dissappointed in a failed bullet that happened in a one shot kill, you go buy some other kind of bullet, and put the other ones on the shelf, and because you buy bullets in larger quantities, you find yourself with hundreds of bullets you won't use and can't bring yourself to sell...

Well it's not like they go bad or anything..........

YOU KNOW YOU AN ADDICTED HAND LOADER. When you dream about it. New machines and it's happened. Happy thoughts at the bench.

You start using terms like Standard Load , have note books full of load results for different rifles and thinking about using lot numbers.

You buy powder in 24 lb lots.
you buy bullets by the thousand.
you buy primers in lots of 5000.
You own 15 dies you don't own guns for.
You have collected bags of brass, polished them and bagged them in case you find a rifle in that caliber you like.
You buy polishing media in 18 kg bags.
The last time you counted your reloaded rounds you were afraid to tell anyone.
You moved 5 - 5 gallon pails as well as 5 - 12"X12"X18" boxes of brass with you to you new home.
You moved 2400lbs of lead ingots to your new home, in pails that had 30 - 3lb ingots in each.

You know your addicted to handloading when after youve done reading all the posts about the addiction to handloading you realize....at last im not alone in this addiction :D

Hi my name is Darin and i to am addicted to handloading

You have stopped weighing ammo to count it and now only do gallon volume estimates based on the known weight

You stop off at the range when driving by... To pick brass

You make excuses to drive by the range...

You puposely just drive to the range...

You know the schedule of the regular shooters who leave brass and plan range visits accordingly.
