Count me a (happy) member of this club.Well as nice as those guns are I can take solace in being able to shoot my evil semi automatics and handguns.
Not impossible at all. I've done a fair bit of hunting and shooting there and while connections help in the very upper end of things there are a great many opportunities for everyday shooters. To be able to hunt and shoot in England is a very near impossible thing to do unless you have connections or are very wealthy.
claybuster: No offense amigo but if hunting/shooting is so great in the uk why are you still living in canada?

That is a strange comment???
I have hunted in many parts of the US and love Montana but doesn't mean I want to leave Canada???
I didn't read anything in Claybusters post that was critical of Canada. He was simply stating that the sport shooting situation in the UK is not as bad as some would think. The people I have talked to who tried to line up bird shoots there were stunned at the price, and I have a friend who lives there and the only way he can afford to hunt is he works for a gameskeeper there. Not impossible at all. Driven bird shooting is very expensive but "walk up" hunts of the type we'd be more familiar with are less expensive. Like most things the closer you are to the big city the higher the price. There are fewer opportunities in the south than in the north. The people I have talked to who tried to line up bird shoots there were stunned at the price, and I have a friend who lives there and the only way he can afford to hunt is he works for a gameskeeper there.
After hearing all the problemsm that their own team had in practisingthere for the last Games, I have absolutely no desire to even attempt to hunt or shoot ythere.
