You might not be a redneck if...

To be able to hunt and shoot in England is a very near impossible thing to do unless you have connections or are very wealthy.
I prefer our style of hunting where an everyday Joe can grab a gun and get out to enjoy the wilderness!
I hunt with several higher end English guns but nowhere near the $$ they are,and would not trade my life for another....

Not impossible at all. I've done a fair bit of hunting and shooting there and while connections help in the very upper end of things there are a great many opportunities for everyday shooters.

Claybuster: No offense amigo but if hunting/shooting is so great in the UK why are you still living in Canada?

That is a strange comment???

I have hunted in many parts of the US and love Montana but doesn't mean I want to leave Canada???

The people I have talked to who tried to line up bird shoots there were stunned at the price, and I have a friend who lives there and the only way he can afford to hunt is he works for a gameskeeper there.
After hearing all the problemsm that their own team had in practisingthere for the last Games, I have absolutely no desire to even attempt to hunt or shoot ythere.

Driven bird shooting is very expensive but "walk up" hunts of the type we'd be more familiar with are less expensive. Like most things the closer you are to the big city the higher the price. There are fewer opportunities in the south than in the north.

The problem in the UK is one Canadian shooters can identify with which is land access. Great Britain has 1/3rd the area of Alberta but 16 times the population. Any outdoor leisure is more expensive when land is in short supply.

There is no doubt it is harder to find hunting opportunities in the UK than in Canada but it is a long way from very near impossible. There are also a great many clay target grounds in the UK some of which are very high end like H&H and others that look like any clay target club in Canada.

I like my beer and old winchester pump that I cleaned up myself. I mean sure the guns are nice but the people in that video did not seem like they were having any kind of fun.

I have a browning x-bolt and I bet it's going to be the most expensive gun I ever buy.

That did nothing for me. Nice guns but I would be to scared to wreck them to use them. Im more of a jeans, t shirt, and cheap gun kinda guy. Redneck? Sure why not

Well, if you have any social insecurities that should bring them out!:D

The Edwardians and their world are gone forever. Pity...in some ways.

They knew how to do things in style and you can dress the modern folks up in all the tweedy accessories you want, but it's somehow not the same.
