Your best ever rifle for trigger/action combination ?

Best out of the box with no adjustments was a Lakelander.
Best set trigger is the Kepplinger, although the L&R I have on my Robinson Fraser River Hawken is also awesome.
For shooting unset it was a Canajr that I had on a Ruger No.1.....

#1
Sako L461, real sharp trigger, action just feels so precise.

#2
Kimber ProVarmint, bolt picks'em up and puts'em in real smooth - pulls'em out and yanks'em, excellent trigger as well.

I enjoy a properly scaled action, not a one size fits all tanker.

I have a pre 64 Model 70 that's had quite a bit of work done on it but it's smooth as silk and after a little grinding on the original factory trigger, I'd put it up against any of the custom triggers I have. When I had the rifle built I was all for a new trigger but the gunsmith told me he'd work some magic on the old one.....man did he ever. Another vote for the Accutrigger being the worst ever.

I had a CRF Model 70 Classic (not pre-64, but pre-FN anyway) that had been tuned up by an unknown 'smith prior to my owning it. It was the best trigger I've owned to date, and also had a much nicer and smoother action than any Tikka I've handled.

The original Model 70 trigger design was so simple and excellent, it's too bad they revised it to what we have today.

I don't hate the Accutrigger as much as some, but do prefer a conventional trigger shoe to one with a 'dongle-lever-thingy' in the middle of it.

The best factory rim fire- Remington model 37 22lr, factory trigger
Best factory Magnum rim fire- Walther KKJ-M 22magnum
Best factory centre fire I own- Man. Shconuer 1903 6.5x54 double set trigger carbine.
Best factory centre fire I shot- S&L 6.5x55 Swede
Best factory combo gun O/U- BRNO 805 12/308win
Best factory SXS'S combo gun- Metkle 240 20/9.3x74r
Best aftermarket trigger available today has to be my Jewel in my Sako P94S 22lr
Best aftermarket trigger I have used though has to be a Canjar.
Cheers Dale Z:)

My "best" trigger is on a Ruger 77/22 made the first year of production. Trigger was creepy and gritty out of the box but I got it worked over at GUNCRAFT in Calgary back in the 80s and now it's the best factory trigger I've ever shot.

Honourable mention for trigger and accuracy out of the box goes to a Tikka 695. Sweet triggers on the tikkas.

Can you say Mannlicher-Schönauer? It's much nicer than Man. Shconuer. And, yes, that rotary magazine is very smooth. You lucky guy.

Have lots of excellent triggers I think - but my trigger finger is so numb I am not a great judge also since I "dont get out much" I am pretty certain that there are MUCH better triggers available.
Good ones I have or have used (imo) are a Canjar 3 lever; a Steyr Model M Professional; Newton set (although pretty simple) an Anschutz DS, the trigger on a Musgrave single shot and one I recall from years ago was a trigger on a Parker Hale TX - for some reason I have never forgotten that trigger and how crisp it felt. The owner had just arrived from UK and had someone around Bisley set it up. Bet the new RPA's Jewells etc etc etc are even better though!!

Brno 21H double set.......ounces.
Schultz...........32 ounces and some change.
CZ's...............been yo-yo'd.......ounces.
T-Bolt..........Jenning'd.......2 pounds and sum $.05
Cripes, even this new to me 1886 in 33WCF is 2 3/4 pounds.......nice.
Tizz more around here less than three pounds.

I have a few nice triggers, but my best is on a M77 MKII AW .308 that I did very minor stoning on with no other changes... it is at 2 pounds with the slickest, cleanest release that I have ever felt... note; this is an OEM hunting trigger, not a bench trigger or aftermarket... I have plenty of slick bench triggers, but they did not arrive this way from the factory.
