your coyote firearm setup

Weatherby Vanguard, Shaw barrel 6mm/284, Timney trigger, Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 Rapid-Z, Axiom stock.
Flings a 70gr SMK at 3950fps on any given day.
Fastest barrel eater round was 4109fps with some nasty pressure signs

I was doing some load development with my 17FB one day and came up with this one without any pressure signs. I did back it off to about 4200fps. The pic angle makes it look like I was shooting down the road, I wasn't. I was shooting into the dirt in the field on the right. Chrony is obstructing the target.

techniquely your not allowed to shoot within 250m of a road (unless it is a private or service road)... and definitaly not within or past a building within 250m....

Personaly I rock the swiss arms clasic green 5.56 topped with a nikon 3X9 62 grain FMG

So far this year I've used my Remington 700 BDL carbine in .222 Magnum on a couple, shooting 45gr. Wildcat HP's over BL(C)2 and topped off with an elite 4200 3-9x. The original stock is a fleurs-de-lis checkered beauty, but I've got it in a B&C medalist for hunting.

More recently I switched to a Winchester Model 70 Super shadow in .223 WSSM. I'm still shooting factory 55gr. Ballistic Silvertips for now, because it shoots them under an inch. I'm also trying out a Nikon Monarch 4-16x.

I've also got a sweet Remington 700 BDL in .17 Reminton. I've put it in a B&C Medalist winter camo stock with a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14x. When work dies down I'll probably try that setup for a bit (shot one with it last year then didn't get out much after that).

Got one (coyote) last week with my Icon P.H. 6.5 Creedmoor and Big Sky 36X, 550 yards, 129 gr SST, easy shot, this combo is really deadly, pictures to come... Cheers. JP.

Alberta laws don't count in Saskatchewan. We have our own rules and I see none broken.

Thanks for the concern but it's not relevant in this case.

Tikka, chambered in a .204, 6500 to peek through.
Foxpro Fury helps too.

My Son, 7 here, sending bullets downrange with it in a center-fire competition.

The .204 amazes me every time I shoot it. I also use this rifle to introduce new shooters to the sport, with no recoil and perfect glass a first time shooter gets to punch tiny holes a long ways away with astonishing accuracy. Always leaves a smile behind and an urge to do it again.

Same as Ontario, this is where the poster is from. Some places in Ontario you would be hard pressed to not be within 250 metres of a building or a road. One place I can think of off the top of my head is the local gun club. Both the road and the building are within 250 metres.:)

Savage 10 Precision Carbine. 5.5-25x50 falcon scope. 223 55 grn Hornady TAP (when i can find it) or 55 grn Hornady Match. Teamed up with a FoxPro 3

Not a coyote, but this is the first thing I shot since I changed the scope:

Rem 700 trued action
Proof Research carbon wrapped barrel, 223 chamber
McMillan HTG with edge fill
Altas Bipod
4200 6-24x50

Spend more time walking (we post/push for coyotes) with it, wanted something light that shoots well.
