Your Deer Rifle, what are you taking?

Most likely will start with the Sako 75 Finnlight .308 w/ VXIII 2.5-8, then maybe the Rem 700 .338WM w/VXII 3-9. I might bring the 7600 .308 and the 11-87 slug gun for the tight brush shots. I've been shooting IB's in these rifles with good success, yet to shoot game with them though...

I like to bring a few to camp, and then decide what to carry.

When I head out deer hunting later this week I'll take my Santa Barbara commercial 98 in 7x57 B&C stock , elite 3200 3x9, loaded with 139 hornady spirepoints at a modest 2840 fps. Course I'll throw something else behind the seat of the truck as well just for backup.

The Tikka M65 30-06 I bought from a guy that posted on here topped by a Mueller 3-10x44 Tac II scope stuffed with 168 TSX bullets propelled by 57 gr of H414. You can take the thumb tacks out of the target with the thing. Loving it!

My BLR in 257 Roberts for the watches in the valleys and a Model 94 in 44 mag. for dogging and the swamps. If I can find the time my 1200 pump with my round ball reloads for my friend’s farm.

I'll be using my 257Roberts with a VXIII 2.5x8. 110 Nosler ABs at 3100fps.

My backup will be a 20" 358Win on a Model Seven with a B&L Balvar 1.5x6.

Haven't decided yet. Ruger .44, Win 94 in .303 Savage, Ross 1905R in .303Br., maybe a Starr percussion carbine. Or a Browning 95 .30-06, or Savage .300 99.

:cool::confused::confused:

Supercub: I like both those rifles :)

As usual I'll take an assortment of shootin irons.
Don't want to wear any one gun out in two weeks.
Doggin, I usually carry my Win M-100 in 308 with a 1.5x4 Elite.
My stand gun is usually a Ruger tang 77 in .280 w/1.5x5 B&L
My fav old tang sighted 1899 Sav in 38-55 likes to shoot deer too
But I've also got a new-to-me :D 1899 Sav Short Rifle T/D in 30-30 w/tang just itchin to go for a walk.

Of course camp is only 7-8 mins by truck or 4wh from home so I could always slip home for an exchange :D

Taking the trusty .300 savage most of the time, LOVE that gun. 12 guage for thick brush hunting if we get desperate... nothing fancy but always effective! :)

backup is Nork m14 .308 loaded with 150gr balistic tips. or marlin 30-30.
170 gr.
