Your Deer Rifle, what are you taking?

I'm flying to Sask in November for a deer hunt with my dad.:D

I'd like to bring my M77 RSI in 250 Savage but I'm pretty sure I'm taking the Rem 700 in 300 H&H.
It might be a bit much for a whitetail but so far this year it's been my lucky gun. Shot a moose with it a few weeks ago and a medium sized "sausage" black bear on the weekend

I'll be using a T-3 270 WSM again this year. I'm really begining to admire it for the open prairie where I normally hunt. I warmed it up for deer season by taking a 5X6 bull elk yesterday with it ;)

My Ruger MKII in 25-06 and one of my savage lever actions. Not sure which one but it probably will be either the 99G in 300 sav or the 1899D in 303 sav. It might be the first year in over 20 years that the blr in 308 stays home. It just might have to come for old time sake! It will all depend on what happens locally deer hunting on which rifles I take on the annual week hunt in November.

My old 30-06 that Bill Leeper shined up a bit...

I won't need a backup...

:runaway:

Most of you are totally undergunned! With today's new kevlar hide super-deer anything less than a 338 Lapua is completely insufficent.

I'll be carrying my 45-70 with 5% over max handloads, but I don't plan on shooting anything bigger than a medium sized doe at any more than 25 yards.

Disclaimer: all based on recent overheard gun store conversation.
