Your favorite Grouse gun?

I use my H&R 12 ga with buffalo classic stock, light and effective.

SKB M 100 20 guage. Mine has 28" barrels and is choked Mod and Full. A couple friends had the same gun with shorter barrels choked IC and Mod. Saw them loose the odd grouse with the IC barrel. Big bunch of feathers and no dead bird, I've never tore one up badly with the Mod barrel and the full is good if you need to strafe one on the ground at longer range or out of the top of a tall tree. May not be considered sporting by some but a pan of fried grouse at the camp is not such a bad thing.

I don't really have a favorite. I have used everything from a 12 ga bolt to a 410 single. Most have been with my Dad's rem 870 Wingmaster 20ga 26" modified choke. This year I am going to try my new to me Rem model 11 (circa 1939) 16ga semi. Looking forward to opening day to give her a try.

I've shot quite a few with my 1300 20ga turkey gun with i/c choke. This year a mint winchester 101 12ga from the 70's is heading into the bush with me.

For grouse with my pointer I love to use my Ithaca/SKB 200E 20ga SXS choked i/c by mod but if I am just looking for them on the sit off side rds I use my ruger 1022 does a good job.

My favorite would have to be my 16 Gauge Wingmaster w/ a fixed full choke or my moms old Remington 812 single shot in 28 Gauge. Also w/ a full choke. Both are great bird guns. Shot sizes are usually anywhere from #2 to #6 depending on what's for sale at the local gun shop. I'm not that picky...
